Hi @legalfalcon

I have received following reply from IRCC for CES, can we take any conclusion from this:

You have to follow the process as described in Guide 5781, and then send the proof of this to IRCC in your MyCIC account. Until you renounce your PR status, you cannot apply for a new one. Also, you will have to describe why you should be considered viable to settle in Canada, when you last did not.
I just wanted to thank you again! Just a quick update. I had sent my documents as advised and actually I did get a quick reply, by email, from my local embassy with the renunciation of the previous (expired) PR card. I had uploaded it in my CIC profile (and got the official document by regular mail afterwards) and today I received ready for visa mail. :) So thank you again for all your help!

Hello @legalfalcon and others

Asking for a friend.

She received the WES evaluation for Bachelors and Mcom. For Bachelors her equivalence is Bachelors however for Masters her equivalence is one year post graduate diploma.

So in education will be it be just Bachelors or will it be "Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be a program for three years or more"

Please confirm. Thanks.

Also include the reason why you can't get a work ref letter in LoE, and then include IT returns, pay stub, offer letter etc/
Can I quote that this would raise an alarm that I will be resigning immediately and thus would create unnecessarily create unpleasant work environment

This is not a legitimate concern. But if your employer has had incidents in the past where such things have happened, you can say this.

Sorry to ask again but I cannot afford to loose this job if I don’t get a job in Canada after the PR is issued. What can I quote as a reason or should I request for reference letter from the employer? Please help

@legalfalcon and Guys,

I am in a huge dilemma and hope some of you can provide some expert advice.

My score is 441, and I am sure I will be receiving an ITA.
But the problem is that I had applied as legally separated. We have been separated for about 4 years already. She had also told me that she was ready to sing the uncontested divorce. But now all of a sudden she doesn't want to do that and told me to do whatever on my own.

There is also zero chance of getting a police certificate for her. We are basically not going to get back together. It's just that she is trying to complicate the matter (divorce) for me. Also, she doesn't know about the Express Entry.

Should I quickly file for a divorce on my own?
Or, should I just forget about responding to the ITA?

If your friend was a FSW, and after entering Canada as a PR, he can move to any part of Canada, including QC.

See https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/understanding-pnp-its-obligation-to-live-in-province-and-pr-status.502209/
Thanks for you answer, my friend got pr under employer sponsorship in Alberta, means he was. Working for one year under work permit and approximately 1 year under the processing time for pnp and express entry. Now he got his pr and got a good job in Quebec. According to what I understand he can move. Thanks again

@legalfalcon I am currently holding a post graduate work permit and it is going to be expired till 23 February 2019. I will apply a 6 months co-op program in order to lengthen my legal status in Canada. Meanwhile, I could also get half year of internship after 6 months study(The 6 months internship is part of the program requirement). Is that possible I can apply for my Co-op worker permit since I have already had 3 years post graduate work permit expired. The only concern is that whether I am able to apply a co-op work permit because I doubt that I am not eligible for my co-op work permit as I have heard of someone saying that you can only get one work permit in your lifetime. would 3 years work permit affect to apply my co-op work permit? please let me know about my situation. Thanks!

Thank you for your attention

1. IRCC only requires a work reference letter which should be on a letter head and signed by a HR or your supervisor. If you do decide to provide additional proof, such as IT, pay stubs etc. they can be computer generated.

2. No. IRCC only requires that you should that you have the funds available. see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/proof-funds-requirement-express-entry/

3. No proof needed. The addresses are required to do your BGC.

4. LoE is only to explain something that is missing or needs explanation. Only if there is an issue you need to explain it, and add additional documents if required. Also, the LoE should be no longer than 2 pages. If you can't explain something in 2 pages, its not worth explaining, or there is a big issue with your application.

5. No.

Thanks. Follow up questions -

1) In Address history, i do not remember the address of one of the PGs I stayed at for 8 months in Gurgaon during my job in 2010. Shall i just mention the area name in the address? In this case shall i mention this in LoE?

2) For LoE, i will keep the letter short upto 2 pages, but is it advised to add additional documents? Shall I add supporting documents of work ex which is part of personal history?
