Can I set up a business as an international student?

Although similar questions were asked, I couldn't see a consensus. While some say that it is not applicable and only way is to find a partner who has citizenship or PR, others claim that valid SIN number and part-time work permit can lead you to get a Business Number and HST number without any problem.

Is there anyone who is clear on the topic or already experienced the process?

You could , however does your SIN start with a 9? If it does it would be registered by the nonresident division

Yes, my SIN number starts with 9. So it means i cant set up a business ?
