Obligatory military service in different places; how should I fill the personal history section?

Hello

I am having a bit of a conundrum with my complex military service record and the way that I am supposed to enter it in the eAPR personal history form.

First, I have to explain that military service is obligatory in my country and all male citizens over 18 years old have to bear. It's really hard, especially from a financial point of view since you get paid no more than $20 a month for almost 2 years! So, many people have to work double shifts during this period to have a decent income. However, there is a program that is designed to help eligible university graduates with remarkable academic records. This program allows them to spend their service as an external contractor, doing some out-sourced project for military sectors, and they get dismissed after finishing the project.

In my case, I was doing the military service ordinarily and few month through it I found out that I am eligible for the aforementioned program. So, I got dismissed and started a project.

Now, here is my questions:

  • Should I enter both periods as my military activity? I won't be able to provide a document to proof the first part. My dissmisal paper does not count the first period.
  • Does the second part even count as military activity? Since I wasn't physically present at the facility.
  • All along my service, I was working elsewhere in private sector and I have entered it as my work experience and I have proof of work experience, too. Is there a chance that the overlapping work experience gets disqualified?

Thanks a lot

Immigration departments are aware of mandatory military services in various countries so you need to specify your service or it would look like you are misrepresenting. I would include an explanation that you were not a front line military person like you did here.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think my explanation here was enough?

I assume you likely worked at a cybersecurity contractor. Still counts as military service not work but your work you did outside the military counts. I would go into some more specifics that you wouldn't put on the internet.

Actually it was just a civilian structural engineering project. Thank you for your response.

Sorry to bother again, since there were no commanding officer, is it ok to write NA in the commander name field?
