Hello Guys,
Am a Computer science engineer, graduated in 22014, worked in the IT sector for about 3 and a half years(till date). Was never interested to work in the IT sector as it wasn't what i was passionate about. I was always passionate about gaming, animation, and designing. But never had any academic experience in the same because of family pressure. But I always learned a lot of basic things about animation and game designing from random online sites. Decided that I want to pursue my passion as a game designer now, hence applied and got accepted into Toronto film school for a game designing diploma course. The only thing remaining right now is Visa and I see that there is a high chance of rejection because of course mismatch and change of fields (as in my case here). I do not even have complete skills yet to show a portfolio to the Visa officer. All I have are a few pieces of great sketch works on paper. Nothing digital yet. Maybe I can create something within these 10 days for my portfolio.
Am afraid that my Visa might be rejected for the same reasons. I genuinely want to learn Game designing and pretty confident about the course and my future in the same as I was always passionate about it and have pretty good grasping knowledge about the workflow and all designing software used.

Can anyone please help me here as to what I can do right now so that my Visa doesn't get rejected.
I have about 7-10 days before I apply for my VIsa. Please help.

Any response would be highly appreciated.

In case you want to go through my rough draft of the visa SOP I can send it to you on your email.

Mention everything in your sop, about your future plans and how you become passionate about it. But make sure it isn't too long and boring.it should be between 1-2 pages maximum. i am sure if you write eveything genuinely, you will get visa. You can copy and paste your sop here. So all can have a look rather than checking it individually.

Here is a draft of my SOP. Still needs to be edited. Your welcome to give any suggestions on the same, I would work on making it a better and a convincing one with your suggestions.

SOP-

Gaming is undoubtedly the only interactive education. Art/design is the only pathway to the inside of your beautiful mind...Your imagination!!

-Sanfamio (myself)

Over the years, one thing that stayed constant with me is the love for gaming, excellent graphics, and fluid animation and am eager to produce such fascinating work. Game designing is just like playing a game, over and over again, but it's broken and it's our job to fix it. Little do players know of the years of complex work that goes into the making. Distinct stages of development divided into teams that work long hours. The basic blueprint, various levels which involve dynamic elements, realistic characters, and animations, engines to present all the concepts under one roof, massive lines of scripting to make the game interactive and finally, countless iterations to fix the glitches or bugs all are the building blocks for a successful game.

I have completed my secondary education in Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain college as a science student and due to sheer pressure from my parents, I was not able to pursue my passion for designing or animation and hence I had to quit thinking about the same. This resulted in me taking up Engineering as a Computer science student and graduated as an Engineer from East point group of institutions in 2014. Post-graduation, due to lack of knowledge and lost time, I was again not able to jump into the designing or animation field and was stuck at a stage where I had to find a job with the earned degree as a Computer Science engineer.

Hence, I started working at Hewlett Packard as a Technical Support representative and continued for about 2 and a half years (2014 - 2017). And then moved to Genpact-Intel as a process associate and worked there for a year (2017-2018). Though working as an IT engineer wasn’t what I had dreamed of, I still learnt a lot over these couple of years in the company. I learnt how to work as a team, I learnt how to coordinate with my colleagues to achieve better results. My communication skills improved drastically and had earned a quite noticeable reputation as an engineer. Soon enough I was appointed as an acting team leader for a short period of time and even earned the Best Newcomer, and best engineer titles for about 5 months consistently. The reason am sharing all these work achievements is not to exaggerate about myself rather to say that these skills, undoubtedly, will help me in the gaming industry since the industry requires good communication and a team player as one of the best skills. Working at an IT company resulted in me opting for online animation and game design tutorials in my free time and I constantly kept learning and gained as much knowledge about the gaming industry and the workflow that happens inside. Although I never obtained any official certificates for the things I learnt (Since all the course and contents were from random online sites) I strongly believe that this rather boosted my confidence and interest in pursuing the game designing and before I knew it, I had completely lost my interest in working at a 9-5 job and wanted to do and pursue something I love. That is what gave me the strength to quit my job and give my passion a chance. Thoroughly searching online for the perfect programs of my interest, I found out that Canada has the best programs in the world for game enthusiasts which compelled me to apply for a Canadian College.

A degree in computer science including coding in powerful programming languages and other designing subjects like Visual basics, CAD designing, Web designing, software models for business, algorithms, flowcharts for a seamless transition of projects, etc. along with a desperate eye for detail be it in games or in any animated scene, collaborating in teams with people from diverse backgrounds, innate understanding of physics and human behaviour/psychology undoubtedly will help me in creating great fluidity in animation. All these skills prepared me to be an excellent fit for the game design program as I can always utilize my knowledge and experience in the field of computers and will also be qualified to learn the use of new designing and developing technologies with increased pace which can encourage me in contributing both as a programmer and a designer. Never received any formal training in the field of arts or sketching but I passionately believe that my work so far is good enough for it to be put in right hands and improve it further and I look at the institution as my ladder which can help me transition the ideas from my mind and onto the sheet of paper or the screen. It's safe and reliable to consider the amount of engagement the industry has, and the exposure student gets at Toronto Film School.

In the next 5 years, I see myself equipped with all the knowledge and experience I can accumulate from the world of entertainment and in the next 10 years, I see myself planning to launch a big scale game of my own utilizing all the experience and resources I gained. And hopefully, I could make this happen after I return to India after graduating.

This international exposure will help me immensely when I return back to India and start working initially as a project manager and by experience begin progressively as an entrepreneur. I want to be beneficial to society and make my parents proud.

Thanks for the review.
The parts that you said were missing are the ones I have yet to add in the SOP. Will make sure I get a few more paragraphs stating the same.
Even I thought that there is too much explanation about myself, thanks to you I will get them sorted out.
Will post the edited SOP as early as I can.
Please feel free to review it again.
Thanks again. :)

The basic blueprint, various levels which involve dynamic elements, realistic characters, and animations, engines to present all the concepts under one roof, massive lines of scripting to make the game interactive and finally, countless iterations to fix the glitches or bugs all are the building blocks for a successful game.

Education: I have completed my secondary education in Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain college as a science student and due to sheer pressure from my parents I was not able to pursue my passion for designing or animation and hence I had to quit thinking about the same. This resulted in me taking up Engineering and graduated as a Computer Science Engineer from East point group of institutions in 2014. Even during my studies, I had more interest in designing subjects like CAD, Visual Basics etc. which you can see in my mark sheets.

Extra-Curricular: In addition to the courses that I have taken in my under-graduation, I have been exceptionally active outside of the classroom, participating in extracurricular activities. I have been a Co-ordinator for a gaming event during the 3rd year of my college, have created and designed various posters for the technical event called Code-O-Ville, which was organized by me and my classmates. Have been an active soccer player and have played for my college team and a small club from my town. After secondary education, completed a short-term Web designing course from Aptech institution.

Work Experience: I have worked at Hewlett Packard as a Technical Support representative for about 2 and a half years (2014 - 2017). And then moved to Genpact-Intel as a process associate and worked there for a year (2017-2018). Why Video game designing and animation: A degree in computer science including coding in powerful programming languages and other designing subjects like Visual basics, CAD designing, Web designing, software models for business, algorithms, flowcharts for a seamless transition of projects, etc. along with a desperate eye for detail be it in games or in any animated scene, collaborating in teams with people from diverse backgrounds, innate understanding of physics and human behavior/psychology undoubtedly will help me in creating great fluidity in animation. Why Canada: The reason I chose Canada for my choice of program is, after a lot of research online about the leading colleges, universities and cities offering the course, I found out that Canada has the best and high-class teaching styles along with very strong exposure to the gaming industry, comparatively. Also found that Canada attracts the interest of large industry leaders and has very strong and rigorous training programs especially the industries which have made the Canadian schools to devise top-tier video game courses. With a combined focus on the artistry and technology behind the world’s best games. Students are trained to be career-ready, adding technical expertise to a love of gaming. Having said all this I strongly believe that I would have an amazing portfolio on my hands when I graduate from Toronto FIlm school and return to my country. This portfolio will in turn make me a great candidate for an entry-level job in India.

I already have set my eyes on leading companies like Ubisoft Entertainment India Pvt Ltd, Zynga Game Network India Pvt Ltd, Electronic Arts Games India Pvt Ltd, Creatiosoft Solutions Pvt Ltd and Dhruva Interactive (which is based in my city), hopefully with an entry-level position as a Technical artist, Digital architect or a game tester.

This international exposure will help me immensely when I return back to India and start working initially as a level/character designer and by experience begin progressively as an entrepreneur. My dream is, in the next 5 years, with all the working knowledge and experience I have gained I want to launch a successful game in India and I believe I have what it takes to do that and learning in Canada would catapult me in the direction I want to go.

I passionately believe that my plan will come together, and I can see myself going on the right path and just want to ask for a chance to set my career in the right direction.

Dear Sir/Madam, I genuinely hope that I meet all the minimum standards to be granted permission as a student in Canada and I sincerely request you to process my visa application as soon as possible. I am very much thankful to you for giving me your valuable time to process my student visa application.

Sincerely,
