Question about Quebec Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Hi All,


I have 3 questions about applying for my parents sponsorship application and it seems I cant find any definitive answer

1- When applying in 2019 the website says that I have to have the min income for the last 12 months. Which is year 2018. But at that time (January 2019) our tax return is not done for 2018 yet.(we do it in Feb 2019). And in case they only care about 2018 will they ask for the exact value?

Are we sure they only check or 2018 or they may do it for 2017?

I only pass for 2018 not 2017


2- Where is the application for lottery PDF? Everyone says I have to get the application ready with all requirements before hand so I will apply immediately within few minutes when the system open.

The problem I couldn’t find the application for lottery anywhere and not sure what are the requirements for this application

If anyone know can you please share the link?

(I am about for the application in order to get selected not the application you submit after being selected and contacted by them)


3- For 2019 it will be lottery or it will be first come first serve? and in the case it is FIFS when it will start or at least from where we can find when it will start

1. It doesn't matter if your taxes aren't done by that point.

2. The form isn't available until the opening. Look at the basic requirements needed to sponsor.

3. First come, first served. The start time will be announced closer to the opening date.

As stated in the guide, that form doesn't apply to Quebec sponsors.

So Quebec residents also have to wait for Jan 28, fill up expression of interest form, wait for confirmation?

Yes. There is no separate program for people in Quebec. There are just different requirements.
