Hi,

we recently applied for me and my wife visitor visa, both are working full time, all the proof, vacation letter everything was attached, there is not any objection on financial situation they both had quite a bit of saving... but their application was refused for the following reason... can someone please advise how can we reapply.... we don't have travel history, we have lots of properties, jobs and parents backhome for family ties in back home... as a sponsor we attached letter from my cousin, and showed interest in visiting toronto, ottawa and montreal...

Refusal:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

Please help! what should we mention in response to these...

Does this refusal concern your brother who applied for the Manitoba exploratory visit last year?

Hi Bryanna! thanks for your reply. No it is not for him :). This application was for my cousin brother (my aunt's -> dad's sister's son)... they never applied for any country before... this was their first attempt... both have solid jobs... salary, vacation, bank, savings, property all was attached... and i guess it was fine because there is no objection on that... but travel history, family ties in canada and backhome and purpose were the grounds visa officer refused.... what should they do? thanks again for your prompt response...

1. How long did they want to visit?

2. Do they have children? If yes, how old are they and what do they do? Do they live with any other dependent family members?

3. Do they have other siblings and/or parents who were issued TRVs?

4. Do post the list of documents that they submitted

If I consider their applications, it would seem unusual that your cousin has not traveled to the UK to meet his sisters who have lived there since the last several years (5 years at the minimum).... but they want to travel to Canada to meet you, the cousin. And, it is relatively easier to get UK visas for first-time travelers. IMO, this explains the Purpose of Visit refusal reason.

3. property deed and tax docs
1. Were these properties purchased with their own savings? Or transferred by your cousin's parents? If yes, when?

2. Any mortgage?

3. Rented/leased? If yes, when do they need to renew the lease?

5. bank acct detail for 1 year
Any large amounts borrowed from someone?

Is the bank balance consistent with their earnings? I notice they have not included their tax returns.

6. PF details
PF cannot be part of their funds for their visit.

Do they have other financial investments?
Credit cards with low dues?
Did they prepare a day-by-day plan with expense estimates that covered every aspect?

okay thank you so much for valuable advise... i think he can apply for UK visa, but him and his wife had more interested in visiting Canada... No all the funds were legally earned by theri jobs, around 25K CAD in their saving... all proofs were attached... they don't have any mortgages or rent that they pay or receive... sorry forgot to mentioned 2 years of tax documents were attached... I personally have no idea about UK, do you know how long it takes to get UK visa? as all of his doucments are in place, I guess he just have to apply for it?

It probably takes between 2-3 weeks for first time UK visa applicants nowadays

Basically they need to be satisfied this time, so don't rush this time.
thanks! I will take your advice. I think one of the other pieces he missed last time is a letter from him to explain purpose... there was only a letter from me to invite him to attend a family function and for tourism purpose, so I will also advise him to prepare one from his side to support application... by any chance are there any sample on this forum that he can probably use as an example...

thanks a lot! I find these forum discussions very helpful!

Instead of asking this other poster, I recommend you prepare an invitation letter along the same lines as you did for your brother last year
