Hi All,

i have done FP request on 13 September but status still not yet updated that cic received FP.

When should i call cic to get update ? please suggest
Hi AK84,
They will not let you know or update you when they receive it, ECAS will NOT change.
I waited 2 weeks after I did mine and called (they hadn't received it yet), then gave it one more week, called again and they had the FP results. You should be able to call the now and ask, it's likely they have received it (the agent told me it usually takes ~30 days)

Cheers,

Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering about FP.

Will everyone receive Finger Print request or is it Random ?

Thank you in advance for your valuable time and reply.
It is not random, but not everyone will get FP request. They usually request it when there's a match with someone else's name and DOB, when the person did a name change (my theory, but seems to be accurate from what I see in the forum), or any other reason why they might think they need to confirm your identity :)

It is a Finger print request for me and my spouse! Got the Request letter in my mail box. Scheduled with RCMP this Friday....One question- Do we have to make a Certified bank cheque or Money order at Post office for $50? That is what RCMP office told me to do... please advise
Hi Jerrie06, I used Commissionaires BC to do mine, so I didn't have to do that. It would make sense that a government institution such as RCMP would ask for a Bank cheque or money order, though, because they don't typically deal with cash/card payments. Just do what RCMP instructed you to do :)

There's specific rules to how the sheet can be sorted, we don't use the regular "sort" setting, it's a macro programmed into the sheet (which I unfortunately cannot run, as I use my work account to update the sheet, and I can't give the macro modification permissions).

You can download the sheet at any point and sort it, locally saved :)

Was it showing on ecas or this request just came in your mail box?
My application went to in process and the document was mailed to my address. It is dated the same as the date it went to in process.

I have 60 days from the date on the document to send it in. Fingerprints are 30 days.

I and my Spouse completed FP at RCMP office today
Couple of things:
- RCMP has waived off $50 fees. They are no more charging since October 1st. We have to pay just $10.50 towards processing fees. I think CIC stopped this for all the citizenship applications.( That is what RCMP officer told me)
- Make sure you check your name spelling and Date of Birth, as My DOB & name was incorrect on the digital document we have to sign/ thumb impression. Luckily, I noticed and they had to re do the Finger Print.
rest all good...just a 30 mins process.

Kindly share excel sheet of latest timeline of June 2018 applicants....Thanks
I have checked my status on CIC website and it states that you application is in process since 01st August 2018. I am 64 years old means i will not have to appear in language exam or interview. Any suggestion when i will get the citizenship approval.
