A friend asked if it's okay with her Driver's license bearing another address different from the address on her application (both are in Ontario).?
They will need to see two ID and one of them with photo and signature. Which ID proof was attached with the application? If old driving license was attached and you have copy of that, it is better to carry that copy with new driving license original so if Visa officer has doubt you can show them both driving licenses.

And one more thing, change of address should have been notified to CIC/IRCC. They have web form to request any such changes.

Hey guys, passed my test today. Was told by the lady who interviewed me afterwards that there's a bit of a backlog for oath-taking, and that mine would most likely happen in Feb/Mar 2019...FYI.
Kind of good to know. If there is a backlog until Feb 2019 in Toronto, I guess no need to be concerned if one hasn't been invited for the test yet. :)

Yep. And she said we could only bring one guest. In the past I think it's been family and friends, but if they're packing in people to take the oath, then they can't reserve too much room for families

Spreadsheet located here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UVvKb4Sem00uOCyB2kTeM2_AofgT_8b4uTJyBh9pXdg/edit#gid=1674299663

Please refer to various dates with top headings of that column. For example, for first user you can go on right side and it shows various dates when they applied, when application was received, when it went in process, citizenship test date, oath date, etc. Visa office near to your residence should be more relevant example in your case.

I don't mind that. Anything to make things faster. I'd rather have them rent out the rogers centre, deal with everyone still waiting and be done with it ;)

Hey there, it was in Scarborough office

Okay, most questions that were asked were 90% from tests that I have practised online, such as first PM, 1812 war, citizenship responsibiles etc
Maybe that was just during my test, but I found reading and r-reading the book redundant.
Definitely a good idea to know history of the country you are getting your citizenship in, however if it is solely for test purposes-online tests are more than enough.
I will advocate for reading the book just to know the history of this country, as previuosly mentioned not for passing the test.
As i was reading the book I have not paid enough attention to the facts that I have caught myself while doing online tests.
Definitely IMHO
hi, thanks for the information!!!!:)

NEED HELP GUYS !!

I wrote my teat on august 13th. I was told by interview officer that I will receive invitation in 4 to 6 weeks. Then she said it might take little bit wrong as your background is still in process. I have been waiting since then. I called cic this Friday to see if I am missing out anything. They said everything is good. your test is clear, your residency is done. We are still waiting for your background check. I have been in Canada for 10 years so other countries are not involved. I did ask cic about how long will it take approximately. They said we have technically 12 months to process your application. You shouldn't be concerned as long as we are with in processing time. My PR just expired and i was hoping not to renew it. Guys anyone has any information regarding the background check waiting time.
