How many days it usually take from reviewing eligibility to final decision.. any idea?
I heard people eligibility status changed to decision within same day to more than a month.
My eligibility started 10 days back. Still waiting for decision.

Congrats... Return travel date , anything less than 6 months is fine... not to worry... however I suggest you to buy insurance ... may be your sister can buy for you... it will be not more than 200 dollars for 6 months , something like from manulife .... because some officers are particular about insurance ...

All the best

Hello eveyone.
My Wife had applied for visitor Visa on 4th July. We have not heard anything from Immigration since then.
I am a PR holder currently residing in Canada.
My Question is:
Can I apply for her Outland PR while her Visitor Visa is in process?

How can I apply for PR when I am a Canadian citizen?

YES, you can .. as long as you disclose "dual intent" in your covering letter. search in CIC for Dual Intent... you will get more info.

In fact you should have done that in your VISA application.. because , her intentions for Visitor visa is to visit you and eventually to become PR...

We applied from Ahemdabad. Her File went to Bangalore. If your husband gets visitor visa, you can apply from within Canada as "inland sponsorship." That way he can live in Canada while his file is getting processed.
or you can apply while he is in india as "outland sponsorship"

Thanks for this info! I was not aware of it.
But from what I have read, dual intent works for USA, UK and other 1st tier countries. Usually, from India they get rejected.
