Hello guys! My sister in law is applying for PR but her last work experience was since 2011 for a total of 3 years.. Since then her husband is the only one working. Is she eligible to apply? The skilled work experience guidelines are as per below from CIC website:

Your skilled work experience must be:
  • in the same type of job (have the same NOC) as the job you want to use for your immigration application (called your primary occupation)
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (This means you must have been paid wages or earned commission. Volunteer work or unpaid internships don’t count.)
  • at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week). You can meet this in a few different ways:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours
I am just confused with the line within the last 10 years? So does it mean even though she is not working right now as long as she has continous work experience within the last 10 years she will get points???

Thanks for your inputs !
She is eligible to apply if she her work exp meets the NOC requirements and is 30hrs/week or more, minimum 1 yr is continuous and she can provide letter of refernce to back this work experience
She does not need to be at present working

I am planning to write Letter of Explaination for the below mentioned points. Really appreciate if experts can check whether they should be mentioned in LOE or Not.
1. I was promoted from Associate SE (ASE)to SE in 2011. My previous org. have issued Experience Letter with the latest designation ( SE), but both the jobs have same NOC. Also I have made one entry for ASE and one for SE in EE profile. I dont have the promotion letter but I have offer letter saying "joining as ASE" and salary slips showing ASE and SE which I am planning to upload.
Do I need to provide these details in LOE ?

2. My University name has changed recetly. This has been mentioned in WES letter also. Should i mention it again in LOE ?

3. My university have added my father's name in my name, - "Last name" "first name" "fathers name", which is different from other educational documents. Should I mention that in LOE. Or should i get an affidavit ?

4. My previous org. name has been changed recently. So some of the payslips and offer letter have previous name and some have new name. Also, name on the offer letter is old and relieving letter + Exp. letter has new name. The org. is refusing to issue and letter. But they have a web page saying the name change. What to do ?

5. Do we need to notarized the LOE ?

6. I have traveled out of country on my previous (old) passport which have expired. As i have mentioned that in EE profile, should i upload the old passport also, wont that create a confusion ? Do I need to mention the same in LOE ?

7. My graduation classes completed in June and I joined the job in august. I got my marksheets in August. So i entered August as my education completion date. Though my job start date is June. Will that be an issue, starting job before education completion. Should I explain that in LOE ?

8. My data in the Education Section got removed. Today when I logged in the application, it was not there. Is it OK if I fill it again. If yes can I change the education end date to class end date rather than date mentioned on the marksheet ( In copntinuation of Point 7)

Please help
@hamgha

Really require your help, please guide on the above Questions

Hi! @TanakaM

Hi! I just want to ask some opinion. I got my gcms notes. Eligibility status is review required. Summary notes: Review required for LOE (Affidavit provided by applicant's manager, Review required funds)

The case analyst didn't write any notes about the work experience, if he was able or not able to verify work experience or the duties is consistent with noc or not, etc. Does this mean the case analyst didn't assess work experience and just went straight to review required?

The notes just stated to review LOE for affidavit provided by applicant's manager and review funds. I provided affidavit from manager for job duties and other details. I also submitted letter from HR stating position, salary and joining in letterhead. Also submitted supporting docs like pay slips, income tax, offer letter and company ID.

For funds, i submitted gift deed from aunt. The funds are already 6 months from the time of AOR.

Worried if the application will be rejected.

Any opinions?

Thank you.

Hi,

Hi
I Submitted EE profile and I did not get point for canadian work experience. I have 4 years work experince under NOC 2132. Would somebody help me?
I think it was already answered here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/with-4-years-work-experience-in-noc-3122-mechanical-engineer-can-i-get-point-for-canadian-experiec.580885/#post-7205856
Your 4 years of work experience looks like is outside of Canada, hence you will not be eligible for any Canadian Experience Class points

I am not talking about Canadian expreience class I am talking about Federal Skilled Worker, who have A class work experience more than 4 years can get Canadian work experience point under human capital?

Hello everyone, permit me to introduce my question at this point, my wife got ITA under express entry (Canada) on 22 Aug 18 but I am not following them for now (part of the information she filled to enter the pool. She agreed to being married with three kids) because I am presently on a UN peacekeeping mission as a military personnel. I have been hearing that visa may be denied on the basis that spouse is not accompanying the family especially my military background. Does my family (wife) have a chance of getting the PR during interview which will come soon. She and our children are currently doing documentation, medicals.... Does being a military personnel have effect on the success or otherwise of the EE for my wife. I plan to join them later (like in 3 years) after the completion of the mission and my disengagement from the military. What are my chances of joining them too afterwards? Thanks

No. CEC points will be awarded only when you have working experience in Canada.

Because of your military background there can be additional background checks but this is not true that your visa will be denied because of this. Getting PR may take additional time because of your job.

Adding to what @Vivu mentioned above, you still would have to provide your medical and police clearance certificates even if you are not presently accompnying them

Canadian work experience means Canadian expereince class...

You should get FSW points under skills transferability section- Foreign Work Experience provides (maximum 3 years) if you have scored minimum CLB 7 in all your language test sections https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html
