Opening an account with Interactive broker

Hi,

I am a student & not employed. I am interested in stocks trading & trying to open an account.
I started dialogues with Interactive brokers. While filling up their forms I came accross one issue. They are asking questions about the employer & not allowing to go ahead. Is there any way out?

try entering Student, or self employed

Hi.

Why do you want to go with interactive brokers.. They have the pattern day trader rule limitation to their accounts. Where in you can't take more than 3 day trades if you have account less than 25k usd

Instead go with Questrade.

You won't have issues for PDT and you can open an account of 1000 CAD being just student or self employed.
