conozco la ciudad desde hace mucho tiempo, se que es bilingue (inglés y francés) y en el 2020 el español lo veras en las etiquetas de muchos productos, te va a tocar aprender,,, (to be = ser / estar)
open your mind, English is dying as universal language

So what’s your real intention now? Trying to impress that you are multilingual? English is dying, says who? Lol! I guess it wont changed a fact even that you’re bilingual that you dont know a lot about CIC and MIDI immigration and still trying to be a PR! I guess more good luck to you coz I guess our program is not for you!

why you are so rude?
we are sharing information in this blog
speaking other languages is very interesting, like Arab, Chinese, Hindi, or Spanish that would be very important en Québec next years

yo no soy experto ni conozco, por eso te he preguntado, pero te has enojado y pareciera que todos tus comentarios no tienen ninguna validez

Its not the real issue in here! If you want to showcase your multilingual skills then this forum is not for you. I believe you are a PR applicant, I suggest researching some more coz google and CIC website is free and accessible!

Your next stage is Citizenship where you are just asking about PR application and even anxious about it! Haha! I guess you need to research more

Please advise how to apply for CSQ while in Quebec. I entered couple months ago as a visitor (US Citizen) so can stay 6months. Long term goal is to become PR (I applied on Arima portal back in October '17) but now I need to find a job and quickest/easiest way would be to get an OWP, however I am not sure how to obtain a CSQ. Please advise. Thank you

Can anyone answer this question :

i will try to be as less confusing as I can, i have post education open work permit 3 years, which expires next week.
I have 2 jobs, one full time and another one part time( 15 - 20 hours ) . I also have a a CSQ becauese i live in quebec, which still has couple of years left on it before it expires. I have applied for the permanent residence on paper and have received the file number, its been a year.
Now the story begins,
My full time employer applied for a work permit for me , I am LMIA exempt because I have the CSQ. However, i received a closed work permit through my employer, as they applied for it.
So now i hve a valid closed work permit , which expires in 2 years and an open work permit which expires next week.
I want to continue working for my part time job as it pays well, and also m in a project where i might get a great growth in next two months.
Question 1 : can i apply for an open work permit application myself, before my original open work permit expires which is 4th nov 2019 ?
Question 2 : can i keep working my part time job until a decision is made ?
Question : 3 would i be working illegally?
Question 4 : are there any repercussions, if i work for like 60 days over my expired work permit ?

I have called CIC and they have given me mixed responses, and also i have dee0 researched CIC website and looks like I am able to work on implied status, but in this case i also have a closed work permit..

Please please please any replies or inputs will be much appreciated !!!

Hello,

I will try to answer your questions with the best of knowledge that I have but still, the best person who can answer you is someone from CIC themselves since I THINK some immigration lawyers have limited knowledge on how BROAD the immigration law is.

First question- I believe that with a CSQ you are just allowed with Closed Work Permit!

Second - I believe that since you are on an implied status- you can still keep your job BUT again better be sure with CIC... its better to be SURE than SORRY!!

Third- I believe YES!

Fourth- If I were you, Try calling CIC with this since this very critical! Remember that your goal is PR and you should avoid Compromising it!!

BEST OF LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!

Thank you.

But when I use the tool on CIC website, it does asks me apply for an open work permit, if I have a csq..

The thin line here is between : Having a CSQ and not applied for PR yet.. that is closed work permit.

however, when I check mark the point of : Applied for Permanent resident on paper, it further asks me if i have a CSQ and i obviously say Yes, and then it prompts me to apply for Open work permit.

I called CIC, and there answer was use the tool on CIC and apply based on that and they said CSQ holders get a closed work permit, they have limited knowledge about if you are a CSQ holder and also have a file open for PR. and they also said, only apply if you are sure, you meet the eligibility critiriea. So i am in a situation, if a leave my part time job.. I lose like 4 K, which I can avoid, by working until a decision is made. I am happy to stop working , if they refuse my open work permit application ...

Open work Permits are only allowed to spouse of CSQ holders under Family Class Applications.

NO OPEN WORK PERMITS FOR the MAIN APPLICANT WITH CSQ WHO HAS APPLIED FOR PR UNDER QSW.

For your information, usually, when you get a new status (in your case Work Permit), your previous work permit is no longer valid. You should respect the conditions of your current work permit. The rest is up to you.

Good Luck!

The source of my information is my own experience as I already had gone through this.

And one more thing, you probably have answered "Yes" to the following question which should be "No" in fact.

Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada? (required)
as approved in principle is not applicable here. Consult the CIC website for more information on this.

Thank you Max.

It makes more sense, finally I am not applying for the open work permit and stop working my part time job as well, as i do not want any troubles with my PR.
