Need advice,VISA ETA APPROVED NOTICE(5 years workpermit)IS IT TRUE

Hi,good day
Here I need small information about ETA work permit visa for indian is it genuine or fake visa

My friend from Indian citizen he got
VISA ETA APPROVED
Visa validity is upto 5 years but contract for the company 2 years.Its work permit before usual he got lma and all
But as per my suggestion and knowledge I suggested him for Indians if anyone wants to enter Canada through work permit they have to go Canada with sticker in passport but he got ETA VISA (individual company sponsership)
How far it is correct
“But I have checked Application id and Visa ETA Number comparing with his passport details I got exact clear details ETA work permit visa approved in CIC webiste.
In CIC webiste I have checked this ETA visa it shows genuine approved

Here my doubt
1)can indian person will go to canada with ETA WORKPERMIT paper visa to Canada
Will they allow to enter Canada and clear Immigration,because in my experience I heard all
People going to Canada with sticker visa datsy,
So is it true?

2)if he is having right to go Canada with that Visa
Where he will get sticker in passport,will it be in port of entry time in immigration orelse later to enter Canada


Please clear my doubts so that he will travel

An ETA is an authority to board a plane and only issued to visa waiver passport holders and not Indian citizens/passport holders so are you sure it really is valid, What job has your friend been promised as there are many similar posts here where they have been shown to be scams. Did your friend part with any money for this 'visa' ?

It's a scam. We see these frequently here. Indian passport holders don't qualify for ETAs. Hope your friend hasn't given these people any money. If so - it's gone and there's no job.

He got lma something and all

Hello all,

I need help regarding the difference between work visa and work permit.

I applied for work permit while I was on visitors status in canada with a sponsorship letter and approved LMIA from well known IT company. After I received my passport with worker W-1 stamp there was email from CIC regarding my work permit approval.

It also stated that Canada border service authorities will issue you work permit

Now my question is, the stamp on my passport with status as worker and duration of two years , is a work permit or work visa

If I am already in Canada do I need to again cross the US border and attend interview for getting a work permit from CBSA.

No difference, just different wording. You usually apply for the Work permit online or paper and then they just finish off the process at the POE.
