Hello all,
I am from Bangalore, India and got selected from the pool in April 2018. My wife is pregnant and due in September 2018.During our medicals , we got her Xray done with the lead apron and I had attached the pregnancy declaration form along with other reports.
Yesterday I have got an email to submit my travel documents - Passport and Photographs and any change in circumstances within 30 days . What stage is my application in right now ?
My Application status:
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
How do I inform the same to them and what will happen now if I send passports through VFS. What are the next steps in the process ?
Request someone to educate me.

Congratulations on receiving the PPR e-mail. This stage is called PPR (PassPort Request). Many in this forum are eagerly and anxiously waiting for the same.
After submitting your passport and receiving it back, the status of eligibility, background check and final decision will change.
In the e-mail you received, below is point 3:
3) Change in Circumstances
Should any of the following circumstances apply to you (or any person included in your application), you must inform this office immediately:
· Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, annulment or death;
· Death of applicant, dependant of sponsor/assisting relative;
· Birth of a child and/or pregnancy (please provide expected date of confinement);
· Change in health;
· The laying of criminal charges or conviction for a criminal offence;
· A change in availability of funds for use in Canada;
· Change of address or phone number
By "this office", do they mean the VFS office?

What are different ways I can get an update on my application?
- Calling IRCC doesn’t work as I am in Australia.
- is there are email ?
No update since. Unfortunately I can’t see the updates online as I have engaged a consultant or agent whatever you call it.
Agent tells me they have no way to check the various stages you talk about (such as IP2 etc.).
I have ordered GCMS yesterday which I guess takes about 5 or so weeks.
Can you add me to the whatsapp group as well. My number is +1 917 912 5063.

From outside Canada, you can call IRCC at the number +1 613 944 4000 and options to be selected are 1111122.
After this, you will be asked to type in your application number and then your year of birth.
You have to select the options mentioned above and it is a good chance that your call gets disconnected for the reason of high calls volume.
You might have to try 5-6 times. After this, once you get in the queue, it usually takes 40-45 minutes wait time to actually speak to an agent.
When you speak to an agent, please ask about the status of the following in your application:
1.) Eligibilty
2.) Criminality
3.) Security
GCMS notes provide a lot details on your application status.

If your family composition has changed, you will have to inform IRCC and add your child. If your child is not yet born, you cannot add him. If your child is born in Canada, or you plan it that way, you need not worry. Just get your VISA and COPR and land in Canada.
If your child will be born in your country of residence, you can only add him after the child is born.
Since your facts are silent on what the status is, cannot say much.

I uploaded my salary certificate around 10 days ago through web forms but the additional documents status is still 'Not Applicable'. Does this mean that certificate is not been reviewed. My eligibility status is met as per the agent said.

I got my bc pnp ee nomination on 19 July 2018. My pgwp expires on 18 October 2018. Earlier I had read on my ita for bc pnp that if your work permit is expiring in less than 180 days then I need to inform Cic but after I got my nominition now I don't see that written anymore on my nomination certificate or the work permit support letter they sent. I have already filed my federal application Aor July 30. Do I need to inform cic regarding work permit expiring or just wait till October and extend my work permit then before it expires? Please advise.
