I didn’t mention my EE profile on the SOP or on my application since it was an expression of interest and not an application. Later I submitted that information thru the webform. My SOP was less than 3/4 of a page with one para on why I’m writing the letter, one on why this program as it relates to what I do for work and my financial situation including the scholarships. Nothing else just three paragraphs. I would suggest you be a bit more detailed and mention the EE profile without a doubt cos there’s no harm. Dual intent is ok

Hello Folks,

I have a concern....if anyone can suggest me on this it will be great. Looking forward to open suggestions...

About 7-8 months back I uploaded my profile in express entry portal for Canada but since then it is just there. However recently I came across PG course in Canada for 1 year and I am meeting all the criteria as of now. But my only concern is that after getting the offer letter from institute my visa application for student visa might get rejected because I uploaded my profile in express entry.

Kindly suggest.. and is it possible to get a successful student visa?

Hi Progrey,
I'm having the same trouble, I have submitted the form without mentioning the EE profile on IMM294e form & SOP.

Since assuming its expression of interest not application.

My EE profile got expired & unable to withdraw from the GCkey account.

Please share the web form link & your answer you mentioned on the web form. It will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Even if you withdraw they'd still know that you used to have one. They are ok with dual intent, so no worries I would say. Going by their definitions, submission of EE profile is just an expression of interest and not application so we shouldn't have been worried at all. However, if the VO was incompetent, then you could have your application rejected. So best to disclose it. I didn't cos i was confused by the semantics. I didn't get any advice on this forum so I went ahead submitted additional information through the web form where I explained my confusion. I will find out when I get to know the outcome of my application. I think you'll be fine, just disclose it cos you never know how competent or well-trained the VO is
Hello

I have a same issue. I had applied for Student Visa and got refused with

"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay.......................".

My agent had told me that my case was very strong. I do not know why they refused my application. I have an in-eligible EE profile which is not eligible and no longer valid. Is this can be a reason of refusal ? and also, I did not mention about my EE profile in SOP.

What should I do next, shall I proceed further to re-apply and mention about my EE profile in my SOP. Will it increase the chances of VISA approval.

Right now I am going through hard times and my agent had told me that chances to get visa are very less.

Please suggest me and provide me valuable suggestions.

Regards

Rajput don't loose hope. I've found people getting SP on 3rd or 4th attempt. you are not sure if your case was rejected for EE profile. let us know a bit details. why you or your agent thought your case was very strong?

let us know;
1. what is your highest level of education on which area? Like BBA in marketing or Engeenring in textile etc.

2. which course you have applied for and what was the tenure?

3. your working experience?

4. tour IELTS score.

5. do you have relative in the province you applied for?

Hello
Sorry for the late reply
1. I have done Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science
2. I have applied for Wireless Networking in Lambton College
3. 3.5 years of experience I have now and working in a same domain. Cloud operations department
4. r-7.5 L-7.5 W-6 S-6
5. Yes my cousin brother is living there in Brampton

I have given some points to come back in India. I have a good career in India in various companies and little about attachment with my family and rest of I have written what type of opportunities is available in India and my future plan to start my own venture.

I don't know why my application got refused because of this stupid reason. If there is a reason for refusal is dual intent then why they have mentioned in their website that dual intent is legal and there is no reason to refuse the application on the basis of dual intent.

My file is in-eligible don't have any eligibility then what is the problem. Mistakenly I have made EE profile to check eligibility and it is showing that I am ineligible and application is not valid.

will this mistake never give me chance to study there. I am very tensed right now. what they want why they do not follow their own policies.

Yes, your case seems quite strong. I don't know why your case was rejected. it hard to comment. the VISA officers are very harsh some times. you need to work on if you can make the case stronger. like obtaining a letter from your employer that you will be on leave for this study and once you come back you can re join.

Congratz.
So u had EE profile and got SP. I do have an active EE profile, can u please share me your SP application SOP @ spice.naiem@gmail.com
or elaborate how did u express it.
Hi. Please update your experience. Did you get study permit while Express entry profile is active? And were you able to manage once you are in Canada and got ITA? Is it acceptable by the Government?

@progrey, Congratulations on your approval!! I am about apply for Study Permit online soon. I had applied for express entry through an agency on July 2019 but my score was 378 so of course no ITA. It's still active and the agency is not responding. Therefore, I have no clue if I have UCI number or not. Should i mention about my EE Profile in my SOP briefly saying that I applied for EE but no ITA and now i want to study only?

Which webforum did you use to update that you had an existing EE profile ?

I have the same situation with an Existing EE profile with a UCI number. I want apply for student now , so will I get visa rejection due to existing EE profile ?

If I delete the EE application , will that be useful ?

OMG
You have made me worried guys.
Just applied for study permit and answered “No” to the above questions.
However, in 2014 I sent application for PR under fast track. The application package was returned back as cap was already filled when it reached CIC.
I thought it wasn’t like applying for visa. But now reading the above comments I am worried as it might be taken as misrepresentation.
did you get the visa?

Can you please update what did you? I am in the same situation, already applied for study permit but haven't disclosed my EE profile since I didn't believe it was an application to remain/enter but only an expression of interest. Should I let IRCC know since my study permit application is still under process?
Did you get the visa?
