Open an online business as an international student

I’m an international student in Ontario. I’d like to open an online business but I don’t know if I’m allowed to do it as a non-resident. If I’m allowed, which steps I should complete to open an online business. Please help me with this. Thank you! ​

Online business transcends borders. Only if you want your business address to be in Canada are you required to register in Canada. Also where you plan to pay taxes may affect that. Canada or somewhere else?
