Baby Delivery in Montreal with BC health card?

Hi everyone,

I am in the middle of this situation. My job require me to move to Montreal, while my wife in pregnancy is staying in Vancouver and going to deliver soon . I would like to seek for experts here to give us some advice. If my wife want to go with me to Montreal and delivery there, how the BC health card (MSP) can be used to cover medical fees in Montreal?

Not a great idea even if you are able to pay for a delivery. You don't know if your child ends up in the nicu whether costs will be covered. NICU stays are extremely expensive even for a couple of days. Another issue will likely be your planned delivery in another province.
