Thanks for your reply.

The thing is, even I told them that closed work permit is usually done by employer.
The reply was, as per our company policy we only do application till providing Approved LMIA and work permit related things should be done by the employee.
HR also said in most cases they have got positive outcomes

Now my concern is, my status in Canada is as visitors and this is my first application of work permit which as per CIC should be done outside Canada and mandatory paper application.

No immigration consultants here are Ready to do applications from outside Canada, infact they insist me to apply online only.

So I just want list of documents to be submitted for paper application

Any one who is in Canada on close work permit will be able to help me

Thanks,
Repal
I was sharing my experience, because I am here in Canada on a closed WP(LMIA exempted as it was a Intra Company Transfer) and my organization applied for the WP

This is what I read for the GSC

How your worker can get two-week processing
Once the worker has the documents and information they need from you, the worker and their family members must
To qualify for two-week processing, your worker and their family members (spouse, partner or dependent children) must apply at the same time.

Your worker won’t need to apply for a visa or eTA. We’ll issue the documents they need when we process their work permit application.

Thank you for your reply.

Just a quick one - to apply online under the GSS, it mentions I’ve to be outside Canada. Does this mean that I physically have to be outside Canada, and I can apply online? Or I have to go to India? Or I can also apply in the USA.

Online application means, that you have to select the Canadian Embassy from where this has to be applied. Most likely its your home country's Embassy

Thank you for the reply. I will try that out.
A quick one (sorry to bug you with my questions, but I don’t want to leave any stone unturned when it comes to my visa getting rejected) - while I use the “Come to Canada” tool, or even when I create a online profile, it does not give me an option to proceed for work permit application - it just gives me an option of “international mobility, without work permit” - no work permit, no GTS, etc. Even after trying many permutations, it does not seem to work.
I am selecting the following options-
Passport country - India
Country of residence - tried many - India, USA, Canada
Purpose - temp stay for more than 6 mths
Job offer - permanent (even tried temporary of atleast one year)
And the GSS option when it asks me to select it

Others are Normal options- no spouse, no dependants, etc

Can you please help me with it.

Best,
Repal

Hi Repal, I am sorry I do not have expertise in WP application filing, I will not be able to help on this. Maybe some other senior members on the forum can guide you better

Thanks a lot for your reply.

No worries. The thing is it’s very tricky, and my employer wants me to do the application myself and ASAP.

Can you help me with any of the immigration consultants contact you might have. Or contact of the immigration firm your company must have hired for your work visa. Who can advice me over my application.

Your contact help might be really a Turing stone for me.

Thank you!

I would like to know how long will it takes to process the LMiA and work permit?

My employer already submitted and done posting the advertisement on job bank last Dec 15. Last Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 my employer advised me that the officer already called him that the lmia is already approved. When is the possible arrival of the hardcopy confirming my lmia approved to apply dor a work permit?

I am inside canada and holding a visit visa. Is it possible to exit to Philippines to get my work permit? Thank you.
Hi, can I contact you? I have the same situation and wants to know more about this. Which province are you in now?

Hi everyone,

I am from Nigeria and I did my biometric and paid for my work permit visa @Vfs office here in Nigeria on 16th May 2018. On 17th May 2018, I receive a mail (Your application W3033***** has been updated). Another mail came in on 14th June 2018 stated that (Your application W3033***** has been updated). On 14th July 2018 (There have been no updates on your application W3033*****) since you last checked your account.

Now my questions are; How many months does it going to take Vfs in processing a WP
