Hello Members,

I did my landing during the last week of December. I returned back to my home country after two weeks. I am planning to permanently move to Canada in Mid June.
I provided my uncle's address during landing and they recently received my PR card.
I am in dilemma that should I ask him to courier my PR card to me or should I initiate the procedure for obtaining PRTD?

Any help is appreciated.

Best Regards,
OMSAIOM

Definitely courier is easier here. Just make sure it's a company that provides tracking and everything and not some shady wannabe cheap courier business. :)

Courier. Reputable one though. I once had my passport couriered to me from Canada to London England. No problems

I have not seen information about people sending pr card by courier/post to India in this forum.

A good courier service may help but you never know if the receiving end (Indian Customs) may seize it.

Someone who has successfully received PR card in India can shed more light on to this by explaining what courier/post was used and was it successfully received in India and any issues he/she might had.

Hey,

Did you finally receive your PR card via courier. I am from India and flying soon to Canada with PR but might have to return soon.

Please shed some light

Luckily I received my PR card before flying but for anyone in the position of not having a PR or PRTD before flying from Gatwick, before I even got to the baggage drop area, they asked for my PR card. They mentioned that they have been denying people entry onto the plane and that they have had to go to London to get a PRTD.

Flying from Vancouver to Gatwick. They asked for my PR Card at check-in.

Flying from Gatwick to Vancouver. They asked to see my passport and pr card before check-in (they have some officials directing you), they then asked for it again at check-in. I only had to show boarding pass and passport at the boarding gate. Border agent asked for it again at Vancouver and stamped my passport and put 'PR' on the stamp.

Hey,

Did you get your PR card sent via courier?
No. I actually drove by road, so did not need the PRTD. The PR Card was delivered at my relative's place. In such a case, you need PRTD only when you are arriving in Canada via Air, Water or any public transport.

If you are driving in a rented or private vehicle, the COPR is sufficient. However, if you plan to go by road in a rented/private vehicle, they will ask for the PR Card and you can tell them that it is with your relative in Canada.

Which country will you be coming from?

Hope this helps.
