Dear All , I have come to Canada the third time, to full fill my number of days. Every time I tried to look for work.
  • Posted resume on job-boards
  • Applied in schools for assistant teacher
  1. Warehouse : data entry,light packing and packaging etc all these are survival jobs.Even registered myself in employment agencies . BUT NO Luck. I wonder how people get jobs here .Though I understand I am a professional and many years experience, I know i wont jet the job in my field -Its ok -But what about survival job! I struggled every hard. I love Canada and love to live here.
Any advise any suggestion from anyone.....I have only two month budget is left, after which Goodbye Canada. :confused:

Hi ,

In which city / area your are looking for job ? What is your qualification & experience ? Did you contact the Governmental agencies for jobs ??

Thanks for replying - YES I did, no luck . I am a geophysicist MSc. 17 yrs experience in multinational and national oil and gas sector + MBA HR +TEACHING EXPERIENCE . Traveled round the world , fluent in english language -But even small jobs offers arent there.Regards

Don't loose heat.Try to communicate with local Pakistani community i.e friends , relatives etc and I am sure they are gonna support you.

To be able to work in your field you need additional licencing. Then you do not want to be in Toronto or Vancouver. You are best material for Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northern Ontario, Yukon or North Western Territories.

So for you to minimize the costs for now focus more on the medium sized cities. And you will have to tweak your resume to be more appealing for manual labor jobs or maybe something like a shop assistant.
Some people go for security licence (very easy to get).
