Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Well, I called up CIC on Jun-3, to inquire about my PR Card. The person told me that they are still processing photos (resubmitted) received on April 18th. So one can assume the lag of 45 days (7 weeks) from the day CIC receives photos and when they process the application.

And since photo request itself comes almost after 6 weeks of landing, one can expect PR card to reach only after 14-15 weeks (3.5 months) after the landing, if you are required to resubmit the photos.

So new immigrants shall ensure that they carry & submit new photos at the time of landing only. In fact, CIC should put into SOP of landing.

Employment Verification (IRCC emailed my boss): March 27, 18
Call to Immigration because application had been in process for over 6 month: June 4, 18
IRCC call + Application approval over the phone: June 5, 18 (My application file had been sitting in Paris for a month they were in charge to check my French work experience and just forgot to send the file back to Etobikoke after the check... so a call after 6 month is definitely helpful.)
PPR (Landing appointment email): June 5, 18
RPRF: June 5, 18
Landing at Etobicoke immigration office: June 11, 18
PR Card : They said it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to receive it after Landing

8-9 month process overall and extremely Happy it's almost over

It does happen, just be patients and make sure they don't forget about your file and make sure you are nice to them on the phone, they are just trying to get their job done as everyone else.

Have u received ur card? I landed 02 March, card was dispatched 12 April but has not been delivered to Mississauga address yet. Please update once u receive ur card.

I'm in similar situation .... our PR card applications got approved on 8th of June ... and I got PR cards for my wife and daughter on 13th of June .. but my card is not yet delivered ...

Just be patient. I landed on 2018/04/20 in Toronto with my family. On 2018/04/21, two of my children that are student in canada did their land boarder landing. We got our PR card on 2018/06/15 in our letter box. One of my children has to re do her photo, her card is not yet approved for production. Just be patient. Bon courage.

Thanks for this - I landed on 10 April and got a request to submit photos on 31 May (why didn't they just take the ones I had when I landed? Anyway..) and hadn't heard anything. My CIC account thingy just still says 'submitted', but I guess I just have to keep waiting. Your info is helpful, thank you
