Hi all,

As the sponsor, I filled out a Privacy Act request to CBSA. I included in my request "GCMS notes". They gave them to me after submitting a consent from the Primary Applicant. All within 30 days.

I also requested other info like travel history and secondary inspection reports.

The only annoying thing is that they mail a CD, even though I asked for paper or email. But that's ok, I dusted off my mom's laptop from 2008 that has a CD-ROM drive.

So if you're in a rush for your GCMS notes, consider sending the request to both CIC and CBSA. Or give CIC a break and ask CBSA for it. They're both authorized users of the system.

I would order GCMS notes within 2-3 months of when Mississauga receives your application. I initially ordered notes because I never got the Schedule A request on GCKEY and panic mode set in, but according to the notes they sent the request;

The GCMS notes indicated all the times I called the call centre and stated I never received the schedule A request. A Call centre agent actually sent out a note to the Officer indicting I never received the request; but I ended up mailing out the Schedule A and saw that it was attached.

Now I'm on the second set of GCMS notes, they help me psychologically because this spousal sponsorship is a long, brutal process and months of waiting to begin my life with my husband is very hard but the notes help me see that they are working on my file and I'm not forgotten.
I am a Jan 2018 applicant, I got my OWP but for the permanent residency they never asked me to send Sch A, just because our case seems similar, I want to ask your opinion, what should I do? and what happened after your

Hey there, I have a question that maybe you can help me
We have applied inland and I am a Jan applicant (16 Jan), but I have never received the request for Sch A. I received AOR on Feb, I linked my file online, then we received a request to apply for CSQ (since we are in Quebec) we did and I got my CSQ, my OWP also got approved, but yet no SchA.
Considering your case and what you have gone through do you think its normal? what should I do?

I am applying GCMS notes for my husband's sponsorship application.Kindly advise -In the revised consent form,in
section2.I put my husband's information
section 2.1 i put my information.
Now shall I put my info in Section 1,too as IRCC states that,"By signing this form you authorize IRCC to release your information to the designated representative."
Yes,
you should definitely fill section 1 with your info, coz you are the designated representative i believe for the GCMS notes.

How long have folks been waiting for notes? We ordered ours almost 2 months ago, and despite being marked as "priority" as of 2 weeks ago, still nothing... Wondering what others' experiences are.

Hi folks. If I have hired a lawyer and if he has already linked my account by himself, can I still order notes?

I applied on March 30.. nothing received yet.
First set was ordered on March 2nd and received around April 9th.
Seems to be taking a bit longer now..

Hi everyone,
I am confused and I need your help. I applied for PR under FSW-outland on March 20. AOR is March 20. Medicals passed March 27. Since then, not a hush. So:
1- Is it a good time to order GCMS notes or should I wait another month?
2- And this is the real problem; I do not have anyone in Canada with PR or citizenship. How can I still order GCMS notes? I had emailed IRCC 1.5 months ago to inquire about my visa office but I never heard back from them. That is another reason why I am getting anxious and I want to order GCMS notes.
Thank you for your help.

Hello

I would like some guidance regarding IMM 5744 (Consent for an Access to Information...).

Section 1 : Designated Representative's Information - Sponsor's details (Canadian Citizen)
Section 2 : Applicant's Information - Principal Applicant details (Spouse's name overseas)
Section 2.1 to 2.3 : Related Individual's Information - I have no idea.

"Signature in Blue INK" - so this should be printed and signed and scanned.

Seems correct, yeah?

Section 1 :- Correct
Section 2 :- Correct
Section 3 :- if the PA has any dependants.

And yes you’ve to type in all details, print the form, sign with blue ink and scan it and upload it.All the best.
