Hi all
Did medicals on May 15. Doctor contacted me yesterday saying X-ray wasn't normal and that I may hear from Ottawa within the month. Has anyone had similar experience

Ok I will. The Doctor said there's a chance immigration will gloss it over but we shall see. Hope you feel better soon.

Guys, can somebody explain to me why there's some people getting their medicals after getting a request while I'm being asked for a medical upfront on the checklist? I've received ITA and the only thing left for me to do is the upfront medicals before submission of e-APR but I'm getting all confused because I called the doctors office for an appointment and they "don't do upfront" examinations for PR cause their e-medical system only has options for Student or Work visa. The other one apparently is PR sponsorship, but it gave the impression they don't know anything about Skilled Worker Immigration or CEC PR programs. Any ideas?

Just landed at the Etobicoke office. After they called my number (despite having a time set to be there, they give you a number upon arrival), it took me 15 min to complete the landing and get a new SIN.

3 questions asked:

- Are you married and have any children?

- Have you ever been convicted of any offense in Canada or any other country?

- Have you ever been deported from any country?

After answering these questions I received the CoPR and heard the sweetest statement I've heard in a long time:

Congratulations, you're now a Permanent Resident of Canada!

* Estimate of 8 to 10 weeks to receive PR card in the mail. Cannot leave the country until then.

Congratulations!

I have a question though, do you have to bring and show all the hard copies you submitted online in that interview or you just went there and answer those question? Thanks in advance.

Thank you!

You only need to bring what they ask you to:

Passport, 2 photos within the specifications they provide, RPRF receipt (which they didn't look), SIN (in case you wanna renew it right away), appointment letter.

I also brought my work permit, despite it not being listed. They asked for it during the interview.
