Hi Guys,

I just got an email to submit my passport for PR. The first email asked me to send the passport to Ottawa Address. But, I received another email and now they want me to send the passport to VAC New York. Has anyone here sent it via VAC New York?

Hello Friends, I have to send my passports to Canada from US.
I am planning to send onward via USPS and create a return label from Fedex.

I have few questions.
1. I asked Fedex customer care about commercial invoice, after reading it on few forums, she said it is not required for documents.
2. What will be the value of my documents/passports ?
3. Will CIC schedule a pickup or drop off to Fedex office ?

I am planing to use an economy service, has anyone used it ?

Hello,

1. How to get a return envelope from fedex?
2. Did you send thru usps because fedex does not sent to PO Boxes?
3. If fedex does not send to P.O Box , how do they collect from there?

Thanking you in advance.

Best Regards,
Sam

I am not sure how you got three copies of the label, one might be a copy for tracking purposes, you might as well visit the FedEx office near you and they can put the lable in plastic zip lock and attach that to the envelope they will help with custom form for return also, it better take guidance from them in this
Hello Guptavv,

I have a situation and I feel like you can answer my query.
I am currently situated in USA and trying to send my docs to Canada for PPR.

The address I got to be sent is is
CPCO – PR VISA
Corrections/Supporting Documentation/US PR/TR VISA
PO Box 8781 STN T CSC
Ottawa ON K1G 5B3

When I went to Fedex and UPS - they both saying they dont deliver to p.o boxes. As for return envelope is not an option since they don deliver there they don pick from there either. They say they don have return facility internationally.

Did you have the same address as mentioned?

Any leads will be appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Best Regards,
Sam

Thanks for all the suggestions in this forum, I had a query on carriage value whilst creating the FedEx return shipment label - shall I leave it blank? and in the subsequent customs information, I need to select for Documents - Correspondence/No Commercial Value?

Please let me know your opinions/thoughts

I dropped an email to CIC and they responded back that we can send the passports to 365 Laurier Ave West address... I had this confirmed with my attorney too.

Expanding on my earlier query - I am stuck at 'Customs Information' section which is the 3rd section in FedEx Ship Manager Lite. There are 2 divisions for Products Or Documents... Please can you let me know what needs to be selected here so that we can have the necessary commercial invoice generated.
Also, I suppose this is only required for return shipment? Onward shipment can be done in either local USPS or FedEx office in person?

Hello Friends,
I wanted to give an update on my PPR process.
I chose Fedex Ground for both onward and return label although it does take 2-4 business days and it costed $22 Virginia to Ottawa
and $20 Ottawa to Virginia which is pretty less than what I saw people paid for overnight shipping.

I chose 365 Laurier Avenue address and there was no problem in it.

For return label, you will get some commercial invoice of no commercial value, just sign it and affix in return envelope.
I went to Fedex store to print label and they were happy to answer questions.

Rgds

Hi Everyone,

I have received my PPR email from Turkey, although I am currently living in the US, and I informed them of my address change. Now, can I send my passport to Los Angeles or Ottawa instead? How can I change where I send my passport?

Your help is appreciated.

You need to respond to the email address in PPR email citing any changes from your previous details. You will get a revised email with instructions to send passports to an address corresponding to your current location. For US applicants, the passports (generally) go to Ottawa.

Thank you for your response.
I have responded to their email with my situation about a week ago, but they have not got back to me. Do you think I can send my documents to Ottawa before hearing from them?
And what is the address in Ottawa that I should send the documents to? Is the following address correct, although they say that is for inside Canada?

Case Processing Centre – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa, Ontario
K1A 1L1

Thank you again.

This address is correct. However, I will suggest to wait for response from their side. You do not want to send passports to wrong address based on your case details.
