Yes, that's possible. But note that there's multiple people and organisations involved, so the difference in processing can be caused by any of those. There are many possible reasons beyond that where a tiny difference in the application (different name, slightly different travel history, different timing for when the checks were initiated...) means the processing takes longer. That doesn't mean anything about the outcome of the application, but it does mean that there can be very different time lines.

Same here. Test done feb 15 and still in process. Only one travel for 15 days.
Agent was very rude. Though i was very polite and smiling. Maybe she didn't like my smile or the way i was so confident about my answers. She was trying to prove that i didn't stay in Canada all the time. She ended the conversation with " we might ask further documents". Though i had a job and all my papers are correct.
Anyway still in process.

Why would she try to prove you didn't stay in canada - was there something special on your passeport (extra stamp)

Some questions are asked to check that you know the language.

Other questions are asked to establish that your claims are truthful, like establishing that you live where you claim to live. There have been cases of people who claimed residence at a location where they never lived. Such questions may help the officer to weed out fraudulent applications.

In the end, citizenship officers are investigators. They are tasked to investigate the claims you make on your application. If they are not convinced that, on the balance of probabilities, you meet all the requirements to become a citizen they cannot approve your application.
