I Applied for a TRV VISA in India for Canada on March 15, passport was ready to be picked up on March 28, 2018. When I received the package it had a note with the passport saying: "Your passport is being returned to you without a VISA. Important information regarding you application has been sent to you by email. Please check your email." The email sent cannot be opened. What could this be? Is it a refusal, are they asking for more documents? Who and where do I contact to receive clarification regarding this? I would like to know before I reapply what it is and if it was refused on what basis. Anyone have any comments or suggestions.

What was the format of that note? Also, from which email ID did you receive the email

The note was just typed on a piece of paper 4 lines. The email was sent to our agent, who only helped to check our documents but we hand delivered the application and documents to the Chandigarh visa office. The agent said the email was a bullet email and cannot be opened and said they are trying to open it.

Unfortunately, you have been refused. Your agent can email the relevant visa office to request for the refusal letter

Sorry I have another question, I spoke to the agent they said the email was from bulletmail.org, which they cannot open. is this the type of email address I would receive the email from. Has anyone received an email from the visa office before that can confirm this?

The official email address of any IRCC visa office has an '@international.gc.ca'

Okay perfect, thank you for responding so quickly. Also there is no way we can see status if we applied through hand delivery. Only getting GCMS and requesting for TRV refusal letter right

cordance with Section A11(1) of theImmigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), any person wishing to become a temporary resident of Canada must satisfy an officer that he or she is not inadmissible to Canada and meets the requirements of the Act. This includes the requirement to establish to the satisfaction of the officer that the applicant will respect their conditions of admission and will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for his or her stay.

In reaching a decision, an officer considers several factors; these may include the applicant’s travel and identity documents, reason for travel to Canada, contacts in Canada, financial means for the trip; ties to country of residence (including immigration status, employment and family ties) and whether the applicant would be likely to leave Canada at the end of his/her authorized stay.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the Regulations for the reasons explained below. I am therefore refusing your application.

Grounds for refusal:

· Given economic conditions, employment prospects, considering your travel history, economic establishment and family ties, I am not satisfied that you would respect the terms of your admission as a temporary resident in Canada.
