Ok. Did you specifically mention that you got married today or you told generically that i got married recently or very recently?

I am just wondering if i inform them after 1 or 2 weeks if any harm ?
i informed then specifically with the date and marriage certificate, even if you inform them after a week or so its fine, the will anyways consider the date on the marriage certificate.

Guys I got married on 29th Nov, raise CSE and submitted the additional docs on 5th Jan
then after over 2 months I got Spouse's UCI generated and on 25th March got medical request...

my question here is
1) during this wait time of over 2 months do they process the additional documents or will they start processing after medicals are approved?
2) after medicals generally how much time will it take for PPR in my case?

I had received individual PPR for me before marriage.

Hi Everyone.

Need your kind advice. I got my COPR on 9th January 2018 and have not yet made my landing. I have recently got married and informed CIC through mail and CSE form of my marriage on 26th March. Status of my application in my cic account changed from Application approved to We are reviewing your application on 27th March. However I have not received any mail or request yet to submit my spouse docs. My questions are:

1) When can I expect a response from CIC to provide spouse docs?
2) How much time do they give to submit docs?
3) Shall I raise another request to check status of my previous request?

PS: I want to submit my docs as soon as possible, hence this hurry.

Request your kind input on this. People with similar case, please share your experiences.

hi friends,

I have added my spouse and submitted all the documents including my.spouse's medicals. There is no update on my profile so far and my medicals will expire on 25th May. So please let me know :

1. Will they ask me for fresh medical or should I submit my fresh medicals?
2. my worry is, if they will issue me new PPR by my then I will not have enough time get it stamped and then visit Canada and do the landing. What should I do if there is not enough time between them issuing me new PPR and me doing landing with my spouse?

Thanks in advance!

They may have checked for docs completion.
Once they start looking into the file, First they request for Medicals.

To be fair no one knows. It depends on VO, Applicants. May take 2-6 months.
I had received individual PPR for me before marriage.

Have you checked your CIC messages/mail properly.
They may not send separate email for Spouse docs. They may have opened extra slots or notified you in messages.

2) How much time do they give to submit docs?
Most VO's give 30 days (Very few Offices give 7 days).

3) Shall I raise another request to check status of my previous request?
you can, but before sending request make sure you checked the profile properly.

PS: I want to submit my docs as soon as possible, hence this hurry.

Wait for the update from IRCC.

I didn't get your question.

Thanks in advance!

Someone I know who added her spouse one month after AOR also got this request.

Just answer the questions truthfully. Put N/A to queations not applicable to you. If you didn’t visit each other before or after the marriage, you can also explain it.
iamxty , was she in Canada then? or she was applying from her homecountry?

Do you know any news from your friend?

She is PNP-Outland. Their application was already approved but not landed yet.

Thanks @Gowtham for your response.

I check my mails and cic account almost everyday but did not see any slots or message from CIC. Only change that I saw is change in my status 5 days back from application approved to in progress.

Please suggest.

Send a web form for update and email to "CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca" with URGENT in subject line (Mention Spouse docs not requested but status changed in CIC account).

Thanks for your reply. My question was will they give me new PPR with a new expiry or it will be same as last? will there be enough time to do the landing after they will issue me PPR as my medicals will expire next month?

They have to issue new PPR, because in current visa/copr your martial status is SINGLE. In the new one they change to MARRIED and update dependent details.

They will let you know whether you have to redo medicals or they may extend the medicals expiry.
