Got invitation to write citizenship test at last!
Date: Apr 13, 2018

Can someone please update the spreadsheet?

Also, does the letter pertaining oath ceremony comes in a separate email? For many, I have seen the test and oath are conducted on the same date.

Thank you!
updated, good luck!

Did you get test invite from Mississauga or Scarborough visa office?

Yes it is normal. This means your security clearances not completed yet. I got DM after 2.5 months of the test.
DM should be always before the oath invite
Today I received the local IRCC office letter and they want me to submit the copy of rental lease/mortgage and copy of entry/exit USA report (from USA DHS website) for indicated period. It is easy for me to provide all of the requested information. My question is whether this request will dramatically delay my case? I passed the test last month and did interview at the same day. Everything goes well until got this letter today. Thanks.

Such a request does not mean your case will be delayed. We know that some people received DM soon after submitting the necessary information. It could cause a delay, but we can't predict this one way or the other.

Some requests for extra information are the officer doing due diligence; they just want a bit more information to confirm some facts (basically document that the applicant meets the requirements). Some information requests are made because there are bigger doubts about the case. The information then is the basis of a more extensive check, and the whole process takes longer.

Complicating matters is that some cases may be straightforward due diligence ones, but there's a background check pending... so DM still takes a while, but it's for reasons unrelated to the request for additional information.

Hello members, I am waiting for the oath since december 4, 2017. That was date of my test and interview. How long it can take from test to oath. Seems very long for me :(

There is no fixed time frame after the test, as the test may happen before all background checks are completed. The background checks can take a long time.

If, on the online status checking application (ecas), you see that the status of your application is "decision made" you can, IRCC says, expect an invitation to the citizen ceremony within six months.

Just curious how come you had DM even before test.
I think they did all the background checks and all was clear before we got invitation for test, which was just formality. (?) I might be mistaking tho. I could swear I saw the Decision Made online long time ago, but might be just my memory failing and DM showed up after the test was done.

Did anyone tried to transfer their file from Scarborough to Mississauga after writing the test? Did it speed up invitation for the ceremony?

That's not something that IRCC will accommodate:

"Transfers should not occur within the Greater Toronto Area, except in exceptional cases."
and especially not if they have reason to believe a transfer (change of address) was initiated with the intent to expedite processing:

"There may be instances where an officer believes that a change of address is not legitimate. Clients may change their address as a result of a perceived leniency in decision-making or quicker processing times at another office. If this is the case, the officer should request from the client more information on the change of address. If the officer is still not satisfied with the additional information, or if the client does not supply the officer with it, the files remain in the original office and the client is notified."

The thing is, we didn't change our address. We live in Mississauga, never lived, worked or even been to Scarborough before. I'm not sure why we had our test in Scarborough office and I heard it takes ages to receive invitation for the Oath from that office. I was just wondering if it's possible to send our file back to Mississauga that we can get the Oath faster :)

That'd be worth a query via the web form, for sure.

Files in the GTA seem to be distributed among the different offices there, and that is not always done based on address (I assume based on workload, or possibly different areas of focus of citizenship officers in the different locations). And it seems there is no way to have an assignment to a specific office in the GTA changed, according to IRCC's policies.
