Okay! Wow!

Your country of residence I am assuming is Germany.

The update might be your eligibility being done. I know exactly what you mean.

Most importantly have you had correspondence with Ottawa? You should follow up rigorously as 14 months warrants that. I would have suggested to contact the PM's and Immigration minister's office but seems like this update might mean its all done.

And just give CIC a call. You're lucky that your visa office is Ottawa and you can call CIC. Have you done that?
I have been contacting them by emails and calls but its the same answer, they just send the standard templates. I am trying to call now to get a little information regarding the update. Even thought it could be a good sign, I am a little afraid to be happy about it, 14 months and still counting, its too long.

Finally got a agent on the line after an hour, and he didn't even bother open my file, said we see the same thing as you do.

No!!!

I am sure had the agent opened your file you probably would have gotten some kind of update.

Call them and be like I am just calling to inquire on the status of my application as its been over 14 months. Don't mention anything else.

Hi
Called again and it was same old answer, officer is doing final review. I've been hearing this since September 2017. Don't really know what more I can do. I don't even receive any ADR requests or sth.

That's strange.

Have they been telling you "Final Review" since September 2017 like exactly those words.

Oh well. I guess just press the issue and say that its been so long and I need a solid answer when you call next.

Send emails to pm's and immigration minster's office. Send emails to Ottawa. May be use the complaint form.

Depends how badly you want it. I am sure you want it. But like how you want to follow up. Those measures may or may not have an effect at all but at least you are doing what you can.

thanks for the help. I am calling them almost every week and sending emails too. Even got the MP to inquire and as per your suggestion, I have now contacted the immigration minister office too. So lets see how it goes. Will keep you updated.

I got another update this week. Seems like someone is finally working on the file.
Do you think your weekly emails have done some good to the speed of processing on your case?

I had a consultant who asked me to drop emails every two weeks but I ignored this advice and now I m about to finish 14 months since aor.

Shoukd I also start bombing them with regular status-seeking email-missiles?

It seems to me that doesn't matter if an govt employee is from Canada or some rogue IS governed region, they are all equally lazy and inefficient.

I'm not quite sure. I had been emailing them before too but was getting the same answers and I also ordered gcms notes three times. I think my file is just due now..... well I'm hoping

Just got an email from CPC Ottawa that my application had been approved and the ready for visa letter will be sent soon. Thank god

After 14 months and 12 days finally the news came. Now can’t wait to receive PPR. The updates did mean something.

Dear Friends,
Its been almost 14 months since I submitted my application for PR. My Aor date is Feb 01 2017. The officer called my employer to verify my employment in Canada. My Employer gave proper answers regarding my employment however the officer was not satisfied with the answers given by my employer. On December 15 2017, I got Procedural Fairness Letter in which the officer had serious concern regarding my employment in Canada. In the letter the officer asked me to provide "Paystubs" & "Bank Statements that shows salary deposited to my account'. I provided my paystubs, bank statements, T4s, and Notice Of assessments for all periods on January 10 2018. Recently On February 27 2018, my background status went in "Progress" (IP2). Could anyone here tell me what is going on with my application ???
