Driving Experience or Validation Letter -- Abu Dhabi , UAE

Dear All,

I need a help.

I have Abu Dhabi driving license . i went many police stations and HQ in Abu Dhabi but no one knows whats experience certificate and they just gave me one letter only mentioning my DL # showing no fines in Arabic . I translated in UAE but now DLA in ON asked me letter that must show date of issue etc. Please help me if some one had from Abu Dhabi and share me the format so that i show to police in Abudhabi.

I went though the same efforts and will share with you the details. I have Abu Dhabi license and have managed to obtain the license letter from Muroor office where they issue the new licenses. What you have to do is visit the license issuing authority on Muroor road and ask at reception for Lesson banayat, you can also tell them that you are moving to Canada and need a letter for your license. They will guide you to go to first floor to a particular office. You have to approach him, explain to him and give him your original license. He will print your letter and you need to pay 60 AED. This will not take more than 5 minutes.

If you are not in Abu Dhabi then alternatively you can send some one else but still original license will be required.

Yes, its very easy. Go to Driver’s and Licencing department on Muroor road. Go to the main reception and ask for “Lassan Bayanat/ Experience certificate for Canada”. They will give you a token and then you have to go to the respective counter. Pay 150/- AED and they will give the print with details of your Abu Dhabi license. Don’t forget to take the stamp on the print from the same main reception before leaving.

Hi Yes.. same question... I have taken my driver experience certificate from RTA (being Dubai visa) and will try to follow the above procedure for my wife from Abu Dhabi Muroor... will we be needing ministry of foreign affairs attestation for these certificates.

Attestation is not required as it is online generated certificate. Just remember to take stamp from the main reception before leaving. It worked for me for adding experience to my license at canada and gave me direct G test on road.
