Hello experts and generous people out there, Please help to present my educational credentials accurately in EE profile. I have a thread for these queries but no one bothered to answer till now, Can anyone be kind enough to help me here?

1) In EE profile what will be the educational institute name, Actual college name or awarding body? ECA mentioned awarding Institute name, should I put that?

2) I have done 2 years BTEC Higher National Diploma from Edexcel, UK and then got directly entry into the final year of BSc program at my University, Its called Top Up degree in UK. My BSc transcript says I was given "prior learning" credits for 1st & 2nd Year and studied final year credits. It did not relate my diploma with BSc rather mentioned "prior learning credits". So all together I have achieved enough credits for 3 years bachelors program.
In EE profile for my BSc degree, completed academic year question, what should I answer? 3 years or 1 year?
My ECA mentions both credentials separately- "Diploma (two years) and Bachelors degree (four years)".

Now let me tell you what I have done-

For diploma-
1. Duration: March, 2009 to September, 2010
2. Completed academic year- 2 years
3. Level of education according to ECA- "Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute"

For BSc Degree-
1. Duration: Feb, 2012 to July, 2013
2. Completed academic year- 3 years (one year top up + 1st&2nd year exempted credits)
3. Level of education according to ECA- "Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute"

So level of education according to ECA I've selected as per ECA 2years & 4years respectively.

For completed academic year question, I have put my diploma as 2 years program and BSc as 3 year program but still got points for "two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees one must be three or more years long."

Interestingly, even if I put 1 year for BSc as completed academic year but level of education- bachelors degree as per ECA my point stays same. I have achieved clb 9 in IELTS, my CRS is 434.

Am I correctly presenting my credentials? Please help.
I am in the same boat as you. My education was from NCC Education in UK. My WES credential evaluation summary read as "One year diploma & Bachelors degree (4 years). I filled the express entry profile like you and claimed points for 2 or more certificates and currently standing at 438.
Don't worry, I think its perfectly ok. Lets hope for the best.

Whay do u think this high intake above 450 is temporary due to some reasons or it will go further up? Since u hv been working with the numbers for long time..you may have some idea
Overall there has been an increase in the number of applicants entering into the pool recently. The low cut offs last year could have triggered a lot of folks to apply for Canada PR thereby increasing the intake. Not sure if there is any other specific reason apart from this for the high numbers.

CRS Projection.

If it happens today 21st March 2018.

CRS Cutoff: 444

Confidence Interval: +/- 1

No. of ITA: 3,000

This is entirely based on interpolation from previous draws and recent events.

MAR 21, 2018 - DRAW PREDICTION:

I have come up with the prediction for the 86th draw.

If it happens today (Mar 21) with:
3000 ITAs - CRS 441
3250 ITAs - CRS 440
3500 ITAs - CRS 440

The variance in the above calculation is +/- 1 CRS.

Please find below the CRS cut off in case the number of ITAs issued is more/less than the predicted ITA count:

Nope that is not the case at all. Numbers from last year are telling much less.
Anyway if you have like 500 PNP every draw which is app 1000 PNP every month, that is only 12k per year.
Then you need to deduct 30% of failed ITA (declined ita or first application rejected). I think the ITA rejection rate has historically been very low. 30% could be unjustifiably high, as per me. I'll wait for others opinion as well.

And you will get 8500 accepted ITA. Now multiply by the family size - 2 and you will get 16K immigrants.
Whole PNP stream has 51k immigrants. So 16K is more like 30% of all streams.

So the question really here is, 74000 ITA or 74000 PR? Sorry, a bit confused here.

Would it be 60-70 % that number would have to be doubled (app. 1K ITA per draw just for PNP).
1. You are mixing up the quotas
PNP quota is somewhere around 51 - 54k immigrants (including spouses and children). 74k is the quota for a direct ITA (without need of additional PNP points).
2. 30% for PNP group is realistic. Unlike direct ITA where more confusion can happen this group already went through PNP selection. So:
- they have most of the documents ready
- their EE profiles are very real and without many mistakes that would lower their score
- they tend to decline less their ITA (since the PNP process gives them time to gather some of the other documents like PCC)
- they tend to have less cancellations and rejection after they submit their application (as many PNP programs do require similar documents and proves that are required on the federal level - like education, NOC verification, language skills). BTW this was even confirmed with statistics where success rate after AOR was 93% in 2015-2016; while direct ITA was only app. 85%).

If there is going to be a draw, requesting everyone to avoid questions like the below and let others have some peace of mind.
  • It is already 5.30 AM in Canada.. why the draw hasn't happened yet?
  • At what time it will happen?
  • My CRS is 483. Will I be able to get an ITA?
  • It is already 18 mins after they announced the CRS cut-off. But I still have not received the ITA. Is this normal??

;)

I kept saying this for a while now. Some specific type.of questions should not be asked in this rY of hope thread. But still you will often see a post like, " my CRS IS 455. What are my chances?" or " please help me with post ITA documentation"

Hello Friends,

I have got the ITA last week (from India with CRS 472) and in process of preparing my documents. I have a few doubts and want to post it here and see if anyone can help me out. I did search something similar , found some relevant answers but I have some specific personalised ones. Kindly advise.

  1. Me and wife are going though medicals this weekend. We are expecting our second child and the expected delivery date is Sept '18. So I assume the doctor will put the X-ray on hold. Does this mean my application also goes on hold ? Will my CRS affect during this time. I mean during my b'day / her b'day.
  2. I have already started collecting documents related to Experience letters (8 years in 3 different companies). All these documents will have date in them as March or April 2018 Can I still go ahead and upload them. Will they be validated now or only after my second child?
  3. My mom was managing all my finances. So she had all the money I sent over the past many years in various forms. I have a cheque from my mom for ~23k CAD. I am planning to prepare a gift deed + Affidavit for this this month and upload it as POF. Should I keep this in my savings account till around Sept/ Oct ? Can I put this in a Fixed Deposit till then.
Hi SaiRam,

Many congratulations in advance for you second child and ita of course.
Can u pls tell me when did CIC asks for children? They only asked for spouse details in primary application.

Thanks and cheers
