You can submit the application without FBI PCC. All you need is a letter of explanation that you applied and attach the mailing proof/receipt. I was in same situation- My 90 day time to file my application was coming at an end, November 1, and I applied without the PCC, but provided with letter of explanation. Surely, within a day they came back gave me 60 days to provide the certificate and put the application on hold.

My Suggestion to you is: If you are in the 90 day period to apply, wait till the very end of the 90 day window and then submit along with letter of explanation. Hope this helps!
got it. thank you

I'm quite concerned whether my package was even received by FBI. On the tracking website, it just mentioned received and signed by "E FORE" Clarksburg on 21st Sept. Can anybody confirm?
I have submitted my docs to CIC and got an extension to submit PCC till 5th Jan. Wondering if I'll get my US PCC by then.

i think they have received your docs. They are processing August, 24 so you can assume next month on same date they may process your docs. they need additional 2 weeks to mail your pcc. I assume it is difficult to get it before 5th jan. (i am also considering the holiday season!)

If I was a regular visitor to the U.S. since 2008 do I specify that I need the certificate from this particular year up until now or do they just provide a standard form?

If I am not a citizen or a permanent resident, can i still go for the eDo option that harrys147 was talking about?
If not, where does it say so? Appreciate your response on this.

Hi,

Please refer this URL https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks
You can go with eDo, its not limited to citizen or a permanent resident. FBI-Approved Channeler service is the one limited to citizen or a permanent resident.

Hope this helps.

We have submitted the letter we got from the State of Maryland in response to the FBI background check request. However, they re-uploaded the same request letter after reviewing the documents. I saw somewhere that we have to mail the documents but I cannot find where to mail to. Can anyone help?
