OHIP. How do I proceed?

Good afternoon!

I am a canadian citizen currently living in Greece. I am moving to Ontario next month. Never had an OHIP card. How can I proceed so I can get it? I've read about the 153 days staying in the country, but how do I prove that? WHen does it start counting? How do I prove that I have started lilving permanently in Ottawa lets say February 1st, when my plane lands there? Thank you in advance.

You'll qualify for OHIP three months after you arrive and begin living in Canada. For the first three months you won't be covered by OHIP - and you will need to take out private insurance to cover yourself in case of emergencies and pay for any non-emergency care out of your own pocket.

The three months is counted from the day you arrive in Canada.

And how do I prove that ? I mean will I have to provide them with my ticket ? Lol
