Work permit extension for refuge claimant refused

Hi I applied for an extension of my work permit last year and a decision was made, as refused anyone with what could be wrong, below is what the letter says:

This letter refers to your application for a Work Permit.
Based on your application and accompanying documentation that you have provided, I have
carefully considered all information and I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations. Your application as requested is
therefore refused.
You have not submitted the applicable fees in the amount of $155 for the services you
requested.

Something wrong for sure ! refugees not required to pay fee and should be able to extend their permit without any issue. How long did it take to get the response since you have apply ?

it talk 20 days for the reply tho I noticed something in the letter it's saying I did not pay 155 dollars ,Was thinking that would be the case? Well I did not send no fees for my extension coz my online application did not ask me for any fees

One more thing have been a refugee claimant for a year and half if that was the question before?

you need to pay fees for work permit if ur initial refugee claim was refused ! i guess you are on appeal now.

you need to pay fees for work permit if ur initial refugee claim was refused ! i guess you are on appeal now.

Yes I filed the appeal last year june haven't heard nothing yet, my work permit was almost expiring so applied for extension beginning of December, tho the application did not ask me for any fees, you saying I use a wrong application form online to extend my work permit?

one of my friend had the same situation.he was refused on his first IRB hearing and had to pay fees for work permit.
