Question about linking the application

Hi All,

So far I (the sponsor) received two emails, one with UCI and Application number and the other email was directed to my spouse (the PA) with application number and a request to link the application within seven days. I have tried all the versions available on this site to try to link the app but nothing worked.

However, I can login to ECAS with application number, spouse family name, date of birth an country. On ECAS, they mentioned that they received my application, that is all.

Question,

If I can login to ECAS, does this mean my application is already uploaded to the system and that I have to be able to link it?

If your got your AOR then it is "linkable" in mycic.

I linked on my first try in mycic using my intended place to live, city I was born, no passport info and my name.

A common trick that gets it linked is 1 instead of 2 for number of people and/or single instead of common law.

I have received AOR, sponsor approval, med request, schedule a request and police check request and my ecas still only says application received on xxxxx. So don't worry. These systems aren't always updated when they should be and some people see very little online update in their applications and then they get their pr approved. Annoying but true.

(You should be able to check in ecas using sponsor info and principal applicant info. Two separate "ecas's") The sponsors side should show as decision made when sponsor approval is granted)

I just checked my account (the sponsor) on ECAS and it says that they started to process the application on Jan 5th. I did create two GCKeys, one for myself (the sponsor) and one for my spouse (the PA), but none worked. I only use the PA's info when I try to link the application to the account and I use the same info I put on the forms, but still not working. They told me to enter 2 for the number of people and use the application number. Also I pick "married" because this is what we put on the form.

I will keep trying.

Sometimes the info is input wrong. And the CIC call centre ain't very reliable..they give pretty much scripted answers.

Try single, nothing to lose. Also try number of persons as 1. This has worked for bunch of people on here.

Also try not putting in all the requested info. I didn't put any passport info when trying to link and it worked.

We send an open work permit application too. Do I need to link a second time for the OWP application ? or linking only the PR application is OK ?

I did try all the options, nothing is working.

Is there any number we can call? email?
Maybe overseas applications take time to be uploaded to the system?
I live outside Canada and it is an outland application.

I just got an email today requesting to upload Schedule A (IMM5669) but still cannot link the application to GCKey account.

Anybody had similar situation?
What did you do? Just keep trying to link?

I already reported a technical issue through my account and hopefully they reply very soon.

I have been trying since two days ago but haven't got any success.
