Dear All,

I have been trying to search forum for related threads but couldn't get much useful information. Thus I now decided to ask specific for my case.

Here's the timeline for my application:

31.05.2017: ITA received in EE file
06.07.2017: PR application submitted with all documentations
21.07.2017: Application updated and status changed to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.". All other things like background check, interview etc. are not required at the moment.

Since then there is no update. It has already crossed 6 months, and I am quite worried.

Shall I mail IRCC help centre to check status of my application? I researched somewhere that it normally takes longer if one has a travel history.

Please inform what shall I do next. How much longer it will take till I get passport request?

Regards,
Bhavik

If it has been more than 6 months since your Acknowledgement of Receipt came through then please find out about how you can apply for and receive GCMS notes. If nothing reflects any kind of movement in your online profile, then GCMS notes are the best option.

Would recommend searching the forums for procedure on how to get GCMS notes. GCMS notes are administered in a fashion similar to Right to Information/ Right to transparency in some countries, and are issued by an authority other than IRCC so they are transparent. They usually take 30-40 days to get issued and it is usually recommended to apply for them only after 6-8 week mark from AoR.

Hope that helps
-S.

No status update whatsoever until PPR?
Not even "Medicals passed"?

Hello,
Before PPR I got a request to redo medical examination. Once I finished that, it took them 1 month to send passport request on email.
Note that there was no change in online CIC status. My application got approved just a day before I received stamped passport (which took another 20 days btw)

Hope this helps.

Hello there,
I am from India and my VO was New Delhi. I think my extensive travel history could have been the reason for long BG check.
