Hello Everyone,

I recently got into the University of Manitoba in MSc Mechanical Engineering and am now in the process of applying for my study permit.

My query is regarding the Financial proof stipulation of the study permit requirements. I am being sponsored by my employer which is an international company present in 3 countries. The employer would provide me with a sponsorship letter for the visa application but they are not willing to provide bank statements since the company considers it to be confidential information.

So my question is that is a sponsorship letter or affidavit enough to fulfill the financial proof requirement?

Also, I did my bachelor's from The University of Nottingham in Malaysia and the UK and that was also fully sponsored by my employer including living and tuition.

Thank you for your help!!

What matters is the amount of money they will provide. They should state the annual amout of money that will be given to you; i think, this is how it should be.
The embassy needs to know that it will cover the tuition and living fees.

So it would be fine to just submit the letter with all those details and not include the statements?

Btw. Thank you so much for replying. Was waiting for a while and getting anxious by the minute.

The important statements that should cover your stay should indicate an annual amount of money. Just like a scholarship statement.
That’s what happened with me. Maybe you should see other opinions, to be sure. Lots of prople have more experience than me.

So let me get this straight.

My sponsorship letter would need to state the annual tuition fee, living costs and return airline tickets that my sponsor would be covering. As long as that information is in that letter, I won’t need to provide BANK STATEMENTS?

In your case, just the letter was fine?

The Bank statements should be covered by your side. The annual funding must be covered by them.
For example, Mr. Bronx will receive an annual funding of 30,000 CAD to cover his expenses.

But. My bank statements won’t be enough. Since I’m not funding myself. My own personal account for not have that much money.

The letter from my employer I can get. But I don’t believe that my own bank account statement has enough money.

Sorry to bother you again but what documents did you provide when applying for your visa? Documents regarding the financial proof requirement?

I am applying to Umanitoba, I got stuck when applying for political studies in the section of filling in "Academic History" and please I need assistance to move on with completing the application.

This is the issue: It keeps showing "please enter a invalid month and year(mm/yy)" which I have done by imputing the required end dates and start dates i.e. "June 2016," still no luck just confused.

Any idea will be resourceful
