While I am not comfortable with how Jonmarrow has been acting out, I don't endorse your views as they're quite judgemental about the person while the rest of us have been upset by certain behavior and hold nothing against the person or their accomplishments.

I am glad that none of us get to choose who gets in to Canada and who does not. None of us has the right to decide this.
Agree with you. People should remind themselves that this is not a social media site for trolling nor is it a site for venting one's unjustifiable frustrations. We are here to share information and hopes. Anything else should be avoided here.

I think yesterday we saw an extreme level of frustration and anger from a number of members of this forum and I don’t blame them.... the main reason of this extreme reaction is that the hope and promises of CIC in increasing the no of immigrants in the next 3 years is in contrast to its actions.
Since oct 18 in a space of a little over 82 days till 10 jan (anticipated draw date) we have witnessed only 3 draws ( not counting nov 1 draw as it was only for PNP) with a miserly 2750 ITAs
We all have not been able to digest this dry spell of draws in the last few months which is creating panic. All of this makes the first draw of 2018 extremely important in setting the tone and giving the hope back. If the draw size will be over 3250 ita I think CRS will not change by much giving all of us hope. If we see a draw size of under 2750 then we all are stumped and it can get really frustrating.
Let’s hope for the best and keep calm for one more week to get clarity. By the away I am sitting at 446 was bitten by the tie breaker rule in the last draw. Cheers!!!

Ohh..I see. Medical life is anyways quite tough despite what many think.
In that case, I wish you good luck for your route to Canada.
I wish you realize all your unfulfilled dreams there :)
Thank you so much my friend! I hope the same for you too!

Hi everyone and a happy new year!

Some scars on the ray of hope..I just thought I'll give some tips as a post ITA stage person :)

1. It's important that everyone understands that this is a forum...which basically means that one can receive a lot of guidance and unbiased advice but it's not a gospel. While I've found Abhishek's estimates to be reasonably accurate, it's not official and needs to considered as such. Complaining against people here is like shouting to the internet.

2. Keep focus on things you control..I received my ITA on Dec 6th and yet to register. If you are ready with your documents, you can save several weeks. You may even consider scheduling your visa medicals and then cancel in case draw doesn't happen.

3. While patience is a premium, the long term impact is literally a few weeks or months. Considering that it's big change, things need to be taken in perspective. One query raised by CIC means you lost unplanned weeks in your application.

4. The really difficult part is resettling there and getting life sorted again. I've been annoyed by my consultants delaying by a couple of weeks, but priority is still to get and job and settle there....this application and PR is just like getting an entry ticket. The real fight starts later.

5. Most importantly, everyone is human and it's understandable that emotions are swaying. There is no place to rant since usually no one else knows and with the queries from close ones, pressure keeps building. It's important that we continue to help and guide without judging or being rude.

Best of luck to everyone, let's meet in Canada in 2018 :)

thats not what my issue is! my issue is with all these experts on this forum giving us fake hope and counselling us for nothing since november.
i stopped counting how many people here said " oh yeah in january the CRS is going dowwwwwwn bru for sure like 100% its going down and u will for sure get the ITA "

and now its JANUARY!! AND the same people are now telling us '' oh nooo no draw, its going to get competitive now, score is going to go up now and ITA will decrease " why do they play with us like this? im sick and tired of my hopes constantly being crashed.

my dad is checking on me every wednesday. what do i say to him? what do i tell everyyone? im fed up.
had people not told me to wait and relax, i would have given IELTS again.
now im stuck in the middle and cant do anything.

ive been unemployed for so long now and all i wanted was to go back to working.

and now
abhishek_89 is just ignoring my pleas and wont address them.

why did everyone keep telling I will get the ITA in january and now same people are saying i wont get it because they didnt do a draw.

where am i supposed to go? i cant sleep at night, i cant breathe i cant breathe i think im going to faint im just going to jump off a bridge now
Hey! People can counsel you, give you advice or share their opinions but they definitely did not make the choices for you. Own up to your own choices and stop blaming everyone else for your fate. You think you got it bad? There will be someone worst off than you, just look on the bright side. Everyone's destination is the same, how you get there is only for you to decide. The forum cannot force you to do anything..

Side note: stop/refrain from talking about jumping off a bridge. That is no joke. Instead why don't you jump back to work to keep yourself busy while waiting for ITA?

Hey,

People told me that medicals can be done only after we receive the ITA. Please share your thoughts on that.

Thanks

sorry but why is going back the worst case scenario?

isnt it true that if you submit your application from outland, its processed much quicker than if u submit it from inside Canada?
It is not true. It is just that statistically CEC candidates have a slightly faster PPR. You can CEC inland our outland same as you can be FSW inland. Also individual case can be fast or very slow.
And in some cases people did report very fast treatment (mostly because either their first application was cancelled - but some checks were done and when they applied quick after that, they could go on faster; or they did something else recently with CIC - LMIA or student permit - so part of the checks were done recently).

I have listed as worst case scenario to return to your home country after reading your posts (it seems that this is the last thing you want).
