I applied for Visitor visa on 4-dec . They refused it with below explanation.

"your Permanent Resident visa will be issued sometime in January 2018".

Is the visa officer sure about that or did he just put it for the sake of giving a reason.
When you applied your pr file?

BGC Started on Oct 26. Never ordered GCMS. Emailed once. They replied it's pending review by visa officer. That was in November
Ok are people putting something specific in the subject heading in order to receive a response???
Because I've emailed them several times and not once have they responded back.

For those who ordered GCMS NOTES; especially if you have already gotten DM and PPR: Can you please share the sequence of your paper location, so that we can get a general idea of what stage our files are at:

FCP Pending Review (Sponsor Eligibility)
In Transit (Transferred to NDVO (AOR2))
Registry (No one is looking at file)
FCU-CARoom (Criminality?)
FCU-DIS (Decision making stage? second review? by Senior Visa Officer?)
FCU-

If you have something different than this sequence, please let us know!
Where did you get all these locations with discribtion? In my notes it's been in registery since July 2017 but I noticed in my notes its been updated. They are working on our applications even though location shows registery.

Had your Background check started when you applied for Visitor Visa?

I applied for Family Class visa for my wife on 27th November 2017, I have not even received an acknowledgement. Simultaneously, I applied for her tourist visa (nearly Dec 16th). I have heard nothing from New Delhi Visa office too. Anyone, facing similar delays at the moment.
Hello

For me, it took exact 30 days to receive AOR 1. I believe the reason which has caused delay in your case is the number of holidays only in the month of December. Wait for a week or so, you will get it soon!

I am in the same boat as you, nothing the ECS has changed, just waiting forever....:(. Wonder if they will ever start with the BGC. I have not ordered the GCMS, is that going to help?
I don't think GCMS notes help anyways. Thus just serve us with answering some questions.

Yes we should.
We should consider doing a joint letter to the embassy .. this is really not a fair way to doing things, every other country is giving dependant visa on arrival for spouses when you get married (like my friend who married a girl from India got on arrival visa in US and AUS as well). I am not sure why canada cannot just do that and take as long as they want to do the background work. This really has a huge impact on the married life on both sides, let alone the family and society pressures. These people have no family relations what so ever and live like animals anyways, so they expect other people to live the same way - lonely like them.

Any DM or PPR in last two days??
In case any NDVO case has received DM in the last 2 days, please confirm.

Is it like on Mondays/Tuesdays only staff rolls out the update letters or status ?
