VISA STAMPED but POE not received - Writing from airport

Hello

I am writing this to get help and help you guys too by sharing this info:

Today is my flight to Canada for University Category - Online applied
I am facing problem at delhi airport because I have not POE/LOI- Letter of Approval. I got my visa for January intake. but I didn't get POE letter in my GC key account or in passport envelop from vfs.

After having long discussion with Etihad airlines (Thay are demanding POE-LOI-VISA Approval letter) at airport they allow me to board without this letter on one condition that if Canada will raise an issue for this letter on entry in Canada they will fine me 1 lakh panality. I am bit nervous Plz suggest and help me guys I will reach Canada Tomorrow. God Bless me.

I checked my online GC KEY account I have just 3 messages (File Submission, File Confirmation and Passport request). Nothing else. Plz Plz guys help if somebody face same problem and solved it without POE letter.

Check ur email. My friend recieved it through email.

Finally I talked to Canadian High Commissioner on helpline no. She is very polite. She said PoE/LOI is not mandatory now a days. Etihad airlines sucks. I also made complaint for Etihad airlines that airline officials board me on condition I have signed a form for one lakh panality which I have to pay it if I will face any problem due to this letter. WTF man this Etihad Airlines. I paid my airfare it’s my problem to get entry to Canada or not. It’s up to me or Govt of Canada why Etihad bothered me like this.

But Finally I am confident Now. By God Grace I will not face any problem without POE/LOI/Visa Approval letter.

Big Thanks to Visa Officer who cleared this doubt. Now I will enjoy my flight.

Hi! I am facing a similar issue now (got my student visa but no POE) Could you please let me know the helpline no. to contact the visa officer or where I can get it from ?

POE is not required. I also didn't get one and now i m in canada. Its been 7 months since i reached canada. I mailed Canadian embassy and I got revert from them that it is not required as they already got the record of applicant on their servers.

Hi I am also facing same problem now. In there site the have explicitly mentioned it is must required document. I am also getting mixed answers on this portal. Can anyone confirm who recently went through this. Is it must required document?

Many travelled successfully without it. POE is not required as per NDVO's social media handle (Nov 2020) but the source has aged, it's requirement for the present is questionable.
