  1. I just finished a call with CIC, my questionswere about the eligibility period for its 5 years before the application and I have been in Canada for 3 years and half. The first question was about the police certificate, do I need one for the time I spent back home (living) before I come to Canada? he said yes because they are asking for that in the website ( what asmart guy :) ). I told him ok that means I lived out Canada for a period of time and If I answer question 9c YES I need then to fill out a form and this form is not for me its " crown servant!! how come! he put me on hold for 15 mins then came back saying ok sir this is not applicable for you because you dont want to count days while you were out Canada!! I told him that means the form needs to be more clear and specific and not fair to ask the people who dont have pre-pr credit all these questions and requirements , he didnt know what to say, he doesnt even that the form is non-printable

When did you get your permanent residence! And did you leave Canada last 4 years?!
hey Mossad, I was at a meeting . Jst saw your message. July 9th 2014 was the day I came to Canada as a landed immigrant and I had jst got it a few weeks prior . I have Canada for holidays in the states , d longest I remained outside was 2 weeks , and within my 3 years in Canada, I went to d states only 4 times I think on 4 days trips so it doesn`t really affect anything u know.. was trying to reduce the days spent outside of canada

I just realized I made a mistake. I used the old document checklist form (2017-08). the thing is I downloaded both new CIT0002 and the checklist last night (wednesday am) around 12am and sent them during the day. I guess the document checklist wasn't updated yet when I downloaded it.
do you guys think they would return my application for using the old "document checklist"? appreciate any info from anyone who might have an input.
Thanks

Possible but not certain. Depends on the mood of the case worker.

Hi, new to the forum here.

I have a question about the FBI security clearance, has anyone applied before receiving that certificate? What are the consequences? Will my application be returned? Because , I am at school in the US now and by waiting I am actually losing days and not knowing how long it will take to get this FBI certificate. I have mailed in my request to the FBI but I am seeing various estimates to get this certificate.
