Thanks for letting me know. My rep told me this morning that I shouldn't try to link it myself because it will lock them out or something, so I'm assuming they will do it for us. I'll double check with them. Thanks again!
No, if you link it, you have to cancel your use of a rep to do so.

They can do it through the paid rep link portal :)

Be wary that most paid reps won't link the account. You usually really have to push them to do it. I don't really know why most don't do it, maybe because ecas is more accurate, but you might have to poke them.
I have a rep but I linked it myself.

How did you linked it, I have a representative too, but when I tried to link the application it says something, you need to submit the form if you want to discontinue application with your representative. In my case, my representative was able to link the application but he could not attach any document. Not sure why.

Yes you can. I'm the sponsor and the unpaid rep as well and I linked it to my account since my husband has no access to a computer at home.

Hey i am august applicant and did not hear anythingnack yet. While in the process can my spouseapply for a visit visa ?
Yes. You can apply for visitor visa.
It's not actually recommended to do so according to a consultant I had talked to previously. It won't affect the processing of the sponsorship, but think of it this way: you're applying for both a temporary visa and permanent residence. That's kind of confusing for them. There's a huge chance that your visitor visa will be denied.

hi, so how do you know that the application got returned? we submitted the 23rd and havent heard from CIC just yet, we're wondering if theyw ill return it or not..

They returned our app because we missed 1 form (country specific requirement). We received it 2 months of waiting. When its 1.5month, We keep on calling CIC everyday and they did not see our app on their system. So that time i have a feeling they will return it.
