On my new application I put Brazil as country of education, not USA. And added an LOE explaining the misunderstanding of the cancelled application.
Thank you for the reply, from what I have gathered I have to put home country as country of education and {by correspondence} is only for online and distance learning.

At what stage is your application now? Was your MBA a full time one? Do you think we should provide any evidence from local institutions of study as well, in addition to the university in USA in your case?

I am on background check.

Mine was an executive MBA, so not full time. I provided also the acceptance letter of the institution which stated where the course was held.

I am not sure what you meant by evidence from local institutions. After the refusal, I provided the documents mentioned above together with a LOE. I also provided my bachelor's documentation, but that has nothing to do with my MBA nor with the initial refusal.

That is great news they reactivated your application! Mine was cancelled on Friday due to not submitting a UK Police check, I was there for just under 6 months (I went by dates not months) and am hating hindsight so much right now. I would love to know what your process was to get them to re-activate the account e.g. did you reapply for EE and also call CIC to put in the dispute or did you do a CSE and reapply for EE?

Many thanks for your help!

I called CIC and explained. They reopened my case after one month. But I also had an ITA (unused) on my husband's profile, so we applied immediately with that as well. When I got notice that my case was reopened, our new application, under my husband's profile had already passed medicals, so we continued with his and withdrew mine.

EDIT: Afer I called, I raised a CSE explaining and adding documentation to prove my claims.

I will do the same i.e. call CIC and then raise a CSE and add the UK police check, it should arrive by Monday. Hopefully they will re-open my application!

The problem is that if it is YOUR mistake, they are unlikely to reopen your case. in my case they were requesting a PCC that I did not need.

So you should go ahead and ALSO create a new EE profile.

Hello All,

I would like to share my experience and seek guidance...PR file for my friend's sister got rejected twice:
1. The Police certificate from INDIA that you provided with your application is not acceptable as it does not cover the full period of time spent in INDIA. You have indicated in your address/personal history that you resided in INDIA from 2006/10/01 to 2018/03/01.

We submitted the file again and this time we ensured that we got PCC from 0/10/2006.
But the file got rejected again:

2. The Police certificate from India that you provided with your application is not acceptable as it does not cover the full period of time spent in India. You have indicated in your address/personal history that you resided in India from 2003 to 2018.

I noticed that this time they have picked her work experience dates which go back to 2003....I am so confused as to what dates do they really need the PCC for?

Looks like I should not be providing any information beyond 10 years (whether its the address history or the work history or anything else)

Please suggest as we are devastated by the 2 cancellations back to back...
