friends, please help me to clear this doubt as am going to Submit my application today

Firstly we are two applicants . The requirement for POF is 15312. I decalred in EE that i will get 15500 while coming to canada.

1. I am showing total Proof of funds through gift deed from my mother which is eight lakhs
2. I am submitting this gift deed and a balance certificate from a bank which is showing that i have around 15932$ in the account as of today date.
3. Do you guys think this will suffice.
4. Do they calculate the POF by looking at the bank certificate or do they just convert the funds which i got from gift deed.
Finally, Do i need to submit 6 months statement along with gift deed + balance certificate.

What's the process to get the gift deed? Can you show me a copy of yours by blurring out the private information?

Hello members,

I just received my ITA yesterday (29-Oct-18). I have been maintaining funds in my personal account since 20-July-2018. The deadline to submit the application is 29-Dec-2018. So technically I can only show the bank statement of the last five months, not six months. My current balance is well above the minimum requirment. Would it suffice if I show the bank statement of last five months only? Or would you guys advise me to show the statements of last six months even if it does not had the minimum funds available?

Please reply as I am thinking to decline the invitation only because of this.

You may choose to go ahead with your eAPR process and showcase the 6 months balance/statement. If you have got the invite and subsequently submission deadline in less than 6 months then this is something which you can not control and there is nowhere that CIC has mentioned that this is a requirement. Keep your balance above the requirement and you should be fine

I would like to correct that - CIC does mention 6 months categorically. You should try and use bank account which you own more than 6 months and then use this second account as well where you have the actual funds. I guess that will be good to go.

I have inherited around 20,000 CAD and I have opened bank account last month and I am gradually depositing funds in it.

I asked some immigration consultants, they said apply now & there is no need to maintain funds for ''6 months''. Closing balance of 20,000 CAD would be fine.

I need help from people who had actual experience related to Proof of Funds. What should I do?

hi, a bit similar situation, that i was maintaining one account with my wife, and we eventually due to some reason open another new account,
the older account is almost old as 5 years and it had major chunk of money, 60% of it, and new one that is hardly a week old account had the rest 40% of amount,

so, will that be okay ?? or i need to have a proof of incoming in that the new account that i have recently being opened.. pls anyone.
