Yes take print out of PPR email, Passport and 2 photographs. You should have your name, d.o.b, date of photo clicked, and photo studio address written behind your photographs. This requirement is mentioned by CIC on its website. If you are submitting to VFS then you would have to carry some extra cash for their fees. In india this fees was Rs. 1008 if you opt courier service.
@manpindersingh

Thanks for your response.

The email mentions some criteria that needs to be updated if any changes for example:

STEP 1: Change in Circumstances:
Should any of the following circumstances apply to you or any accompanying family member, you must inform this office immediately:
· Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment or death of spouse;
· Change in family composition, for example due to adoption or birth of a child, including a child born to your accompanying dependent child,
· Change in contact information: mailing address, e-mail address, or telephone number.

Q) So Nothing has changed in the above circumstances. My life is same as the time of application! So no nee to verify these criteria, Right?

Q) Also, I understand VFS will have its own charges, but will the visa centre not ask for any payment for stamping?

Q) Once my passport is back from stamping, Whats next? Can I fly to Canada and then will I get COPR upon landing?
OR will I get it in Dubai it self? or Will I receive a PR travel document when I get my passport back? When and how long does a PR card take to be processed??

Any input will be much appreciated !!!
Thank you

1. If there is no change of circumstances then you need to do nothing.

2. Yes VFS has charges. I don't know about Visa centre. But still to stay safe side carry some cash or may be you can make payment (if applicable) with your credit/debit card.

3. In the packet you will get your passport stamped with visa and 2 copies of COPR. One will be client copy and one will be CIC copy. You need to carry all these whenever you are flying to canada and yes once to get these docs you can fly to canada anytime. Please don't sign or write anything on your COPR. Just carry as it is to Canada. After landing the Immigration officer will automatically apply for your PR card and it will be delivered to your provided address. You would receive your PR card by postal mail in 2-3 months.

Thanks for that. I gotcha !

So I have another question. My medicals and PCC will expire in february and March subsequently.
Q) Do I have to land in Canada before expiration of either or I can take my time.

Also,
Q) So the PPR stamp in my passport and the two COPR letter I will get, will they be sufficient enough for me to land in Canada??

Q) I understand that I need my PR card to travel in and out of Canada. So lets say I land in Canada, get my landing done, Give them the address I want them to send my PR card to(friends address), and leave Canada two weeks later and ask my friend to courier it to me.
is that Doable?

Thanks for all the help! Much appreciated
!

Hey,

I don't think there is any problem, you are still under 6 months processing time. I do agree people from later aor then you, did got pr or even the ones before you. But we don't know how cic process & they just started processing may files since first two weeks of this month.

I would suggest to order gcms notes or just wait till it comes.

I hope it comes soon for everyone of us!

"The additional documents you provided are being reviewed" to "We do not need additional documents" means eligibility done?

@kyrsonice

Yes your landing should be done before the expiration of your medical, expiry date of medical will be the date by which you should do your landing. This will be mentioned in the letter you will get.

Not really sure about the documents you need to present while landing for out land applicants. Take all the originals of what you have submitted as part of your application just in case.

Yes , you can finish your landing formalities and give an address to send the PR card to. But be careful about the risk of losing it in transit.

BTW you can get a travel document if you wish to travel outside the country while you are waiting for your PR card.

Just so you know , IP2, Na2 and all are made up terms by the immigration community ( for ease of understanding the workflow ). CIC doesn't even use these terms in their processing. For them its the medical check, security, background etc..

For CEC applicants, we have seen a slow down of application processing for the past few months or so. But CIC is slowly picking up the pace , best example is your case - the average for medical passed used to be 20 to 25 days in the past which is exactly what you have.

And you don't have anything to worry at this point, it's just a waiting game at this point. Even though there has been some slow down, CIC is keeping their promise and processing more than 80% of applications within 6 months. So relax and stop stressing out.

BTW i am CEC inland , May 31st AOR. My medical was updated on August 07th only and no updates since then.

Like you said, you made a new addition to your file which would warrant further investigation for your spouse as well. That might be the cause of the delay. But i don't think you have anything to worry at this point. Hopefully it comes sooner than you think.
