I have declined my previous ITA and after getting a new one, I have been trying to show funds (through gift-deed) for my PR application.

I have moved back to India from Canada since November 2015. Even though I have come across many posts saying that CEC applicants don't need to show POF, I was thinking (till now) that I am required to show POF since I am outside Canada now and do not have a job offer.

So once and for all, I would like to ask you (to make sure) that Does CEC applicant, who lives outside Canada, and who does NOT have a job offer in Canada required to show POF?

The reason I am asking is that, because I don't want my application to get rejected if I show no funds. Has any CEC outland applicant landed successfully without showing any funds?

Does that mean I can fill an answer 0 (or what I have which is about $10000) to the question : How much funds are you going to bring to Canada?

I am worried if I do that my application would freeze and say : You are no longer eligible to apply OR may be I will get rejection afterwards.

I think you have to show POF as per CIC guideline
You do not have to show that you have these funds if:

you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

I would like you to read below article carefully, and comment on Somewhere it says : You don’t need to show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family to meet the program requirements of the Canadian Experience Class

I would also suggest you to show your POF as you are outside of Canada and not currently working in Canada and you don't have any valid job offer.

This is ONLY for FSW / FST applicants. This does NOT apply to CEC applicants.

To the OP - you should rely on the info provided by CEC, not internet forums...

It does not matter what you answer, whether 0 or the truth. When you apply, instead of uploading proof of funds, you upload a statement that you were invited to apply under CEC class, and are exempt from the proof of funds requirement.

Well, in that case I have to wait about a month when my mom will gift me the amount I need. I only have little less than $10000 for now.

On the other side, if I am exempt from showing a POF because of being a CEC applicant, I can proceed and submit eAPR at least a month earlier.

I want to be firm about how to proceed my application further.

Guys, let's not be draw into an unnecessary argument,

Note: You do not have to meet the funds requirement if you were invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class.

I read that article like 20 times. Each and every word of it. Even though It clearly says that CEC applicants do not need to show POF, I get cold feet by reading other people's advice suggesting I need to provide POF.

Thank you One_Topsy for your input and Thank you everyone else for theirs too.
Champs, geniuses and people with similar experience, keep commenting, we can at least help clear minds of future applicants. and may be mine too.

You are right. I am a CEC-outland applicant and I did not show POF. It's been 3 months since my application, see my signature section. If CEC outland needed POF, my application would already have been rejected on that ground as it would be considered INCOMPLETE.
I am surprised by people giving the wrong advice that CEC applicants need to show POF. It is clearly written there, very plainly that CEC applicants do not need to show Proof of Funds.

Thank You so much for sharing your experience, Now I am thinking of submitting my application without providing POF and instead I will write a letter of explanation. I think It will save at least a month in submission of eAPR. And to be on the safe side, I will do the Gift-deed after a month, so that if they ask me to provide a POF during the processing, I will not have problem.

Since you have already submitted eAPR, I would like to ask you that : Have you submitted any documents relating to your financial status e.g. bank statement anywhere in the application????
