It was a tough process, as all fellows here are aware, but it's finally over!

The card was mailed from Sydney to Montreal last monday (March 20th). Think it should be getting home by today or latest tomorrow!

I would appreciate your thoughts on this, I called CIC for checking status of renewal of PR card and they said after 9 months of application in secondary review my file was transferred to a team in Hamilton office from Sydney last month in febuary- any ideas what can this mean and what kind of progress is happening on my file and when can I expect a decision.

Did they ask for any additional documents during secondary review. Have you submitted all documents to them. Your file has gone to local office which may get some additional delay.

the operator didn't tell me that but I haven't got any request for additional documents and I submitted all documents when I applied so I don't think they would need anything. Why additional delay and what they do at local level?

I just called CIC from overseas (Brazil) and was told that my card was sent today to my address in Montreal!!! SO HAPPY! But the status on e-cas is still the same.

The agent told me that the problem with card production was due to my name being miswritten.

How long do you guys think it will take to get in my mailbox???

I had the card delivered at my friend's place in Montreal. I will ask him to mail it to me.

I have a PRTD valid up to Aug 18th, but surely I will prefer to re-enter Canada with the card.

I sent in my PR card renewal application in Mid-June 2014, and I have stayed in Canada for 2 years during the past 5 years. After waiting for over 5 months, I received an email from CIC today saying that the preliminary review was completed for my application and have transferred my file for a secondary review which will cause additional delay of the processing time. Does it mean that my application is now being transferred to local office? I heard that it will take over 10 more months of processing time if this is real and it really worried me. Would anyone please help? Thanks a lot...
