I applied on 01-06-2016 and my application was complete with everything uploaded by 05-06-2016.

But it doesn't depend on when we apply. They start processing all applications in Aug/Sep.

My status has changed from preliminary review required to recommended for assessment. What does this mean??? anyone have idea???

They must have forwarded your application to dept for assessment. Your profile will be assessed for a decision to be made.

Yesterday I received an email asking me to upload 8th sem grades. Till then they've put my file on hold. I've uploaded that today.

Which program have u applied for sparta.
I haven't uploaded my 8th sem result during my application as well and i didnt get any email yet.
Did you uploaded only 8th sem marksheet or full transcript of btech?

I've applied to MEng ECE. Even I didn't know they won't process my application without final marksheets!! I was surprised. So I uploaded as soon as I got the email. You also do it asap. Because if you haven't received an email, yours must still be in preliminary review. They're doing this now. Imagine! Anyway, dont let your application be delayed just because of this. Upload final marksheet as well as degree certificate online in the Carleton Central, if you haven't.

I've uploaded a complete new file containing all the marksheets (8 marksheets) and degree certiictate in Carleton Central.

I asked for update of application status and the reply was "your application is with the department and a decision has yet to be made."

Application status is still "Application under review".
