Hi Engineered_by_God, i noticed that you're from MVO, too; and also read that you ordered notes. May i ask how much did you pay for GCMS notes? is it 5cad or 42cad? it confused me because for some they only paid 5cad others 42. Also, when my husband paid for the 5cad ATIP, he didn't ask me to sign any documents/forms. I read that other were asked by their partners to sign something. TIA!

Hi, yes we did order a couple days ago for our second notes. It is 5 CAD only per request. They will send an email to you with the form that you need to attached once they acknowledged that you applied for gcms notes.

You have to fill out that form and send them so your spouse or you as the sponsor will have authority
to get the said notes.

So I wanna share this to all of you and IamABule since he orders gcms notes from time to time. To avoid manually checking for difference download from this site this tool : winmerge, this acts as a tool to check two files if there are difference, it will highlight the changes.

1. Download and Install it.
2. At the file you want to compare, right click on the file you want to check and select winmerge by the default it will be on left side (the file you right click).
3.On the right path, select the location of the other gcms notes. (be sure that the path is correct and the *.pdf file is present also( the gcms notes)
4 And click ok.
and easy peasy you have now a comparison highlighted

If you file with CIC to get your notes it will cost you $5 if you apply thru a website other then the official government site they will charge you more unecessarily. As for the signature I'm quite sure you'll need to sign the consent form as well or else your spouse will not be able to obtain notes with your information. Unless your both in Canada and applying from the rules could be different. Regardless, if your required to have a signature you'll get an email from CIC requesting the consent form signed with details.

We filed my second notes after we pulled our first note from june 27 It was also noted there that they will check my file again in th 29th of June. Lets see

Just got our GCMS notes and it doesn't look good.
Basically they have not started anything since February 2016 when sponsorship got approved.

And the only entry they put in was this 2016/05/30 "ASP: PLS. SEND AOR & GENDOC REQUEST FOR -ADDITIONAL PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SCREENSHOTS OF CONVERSATIONS THRU SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS, REMITTANCES,PHONEBILLS, ETC. -PH DETAILS DURING THE FF PERIODS: a. Nov 2015 to present b. May2014 to Oct2014 c.Mar2014 to May 2014"

So they have not sent us anything officially in 2 months in regards to more proof of relationship. But from the sounds of it they will. They seem to want conversation screenshots...and between whatsup, whatsup audio, and skype videocalls we have insane amounts. Like an essay of text sent everyday between the two of us for almost 2 full years. We talk ALOT. The question I have is in what format do they want it considering its text and audio and video and where can I send it. If we wait for their official request it could be months more delays. I want to get ahead of this.

Does anyone in this thread know what a "CANCELLED" security screening mean and why it may have happened? My GCMS notes indicate that my original security screening has been canceled after around 9 months and a new one has been requested which has delayed the processing of my file --as of today-- for 15 months.

When I captured all of my whatsapp conversations and copied it into MSword it ended up being over 200 pages long (even after reformatting it to smaller font, no line spaces, etc). So this is what I did:

I split the chat in each month / year and put a heading 1 on the top of each section i.e. Jun 2016. Add page numbers. Then I created a Table of Contents. I then sent them a hardcopy that included a TOC (so they could see the extent of the chat log) and only included 2 - 3 pages for each month. On the cover page I indicated that more was available upon request.
