I received the same email today. For all of you, did this happen after changing your address to a Canadian mailing address?
Seeing lots of files being rerouted to CPC-Ottawa from visa offices, I seriously think they are going to centralize processing of ALL Parents, and probably Spouses also, back to CPC-Ottawa for PR processing in Canada very soon. They have signaled that move a couple times, that there will be no more visa offices for Family Class, there will be just a single queue system on first in first out basis. I think they are starting to do this now and just some files will still be processed at visa offices in the interim.

Can somebody please advice if its normal for ECAS status for "parents application" to change to "In process" and not receive any medical request for more than 10 days after that status changed?

Should I call CIC to find out if I missed the medical email notification?
My mom's E-Cas changed to "In-Process" on 20-July-2016 and it has been 14 days that we haven't received anything from LVO (Singapore) since. :D

Just received the same letter. However, It is moved from Cairo office to CPC-Ottawa. So I don't think it's only Turkey.

Thanks for sharing that. My LVO is Ottawa and i'm worried that we may have missed their email or something. They give such short time to produce Medical Reports and if they don't receive it within that time-frame, they may just close our case, which I don't want.

Its exactly same situation with my mom. The application went to in process on July 20. We haven't heard anything after that from LVO (Singapore). When I linked my mom's application to her mycic account, I see "background check " is "not started". Rossei do you see the same?

I linked my application and this is what I see:

Application/profile status : Open
Review of eligibility: Not Started
Review of medical results: Not needed at this time
Review of submitted documents: Blank
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: Not Started
Final decision: Not Started

Ecas shows this:
Sponsorship Application Status: Application Received
Permanent Residence Application Status: In Process
When I click In process link, I see this info:
1.We received (name) application for permanent residence on January x, 2015.
2.We started processing (name) application on April xx, 2016.

I am really frustrated as to why no movement in my application. Does anyone see the same thing or has any insight?? What should I do?

Which office is processing your parent PR file?

GCMS notes shows this:
Office: FC4 Pre-Screened Registry - 0B550 Abroad
Paper File #: XXX
Location: CPC Mississauga

I am not sure, but from above it seems CPC mississauga? I have not received any corresondence other than the last automated message from June 2015 which had UCI and application #. I don't know what OB550 abroad means.

It seems CPC-Ottawa is processing it. They have a huge line up there. Files are assigned to different units/officers and depending on their workload the timeline is not consistent. I see Ottawa is calling some 2016 for medical requests too. I would say keep monitoring mycic. it shouldn't be long.

Consider yourself lucky, most of cases (including mine) that were sent to other visa offices and are returning to Ottawa did not get any update after SA. My eCas still shows app received.

Visa Office will have all paper file records; as indicated in your GCMS it is CPC-Ottawa where your file can be retrieved. Many would prefer CPC-Ottawa over visa offices. They are under the radar of IRCC management as they are in the same building so very unlikely they will mess up your life.

My parents did their medical on July 23rd. When can I expect their online status suggest that medical results are received.

no they wont close it that early, but do the meds ASAP, they know doing the medicals takes time for appointment, etc

But best to keep on it via GCMS notes, and with regular inquiries via local MP.

Yikes !

Confusion confusion. Everywhere i go conflicting answers.. so I turn to Trust Canada Visa ;D.

THe low income threshlold is as follows:

Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)
Size of Family Unit Minimum necessary income
1 person (the sponsor) $24,328
2 persons $30,286
3 persons $37,234
4 persons $45,206
5 persons $51,272
6 persons $57,826
7 persons $64,381
More than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $6,555

Now lets say:

2016: 3 family members Income 40000
2017: 4 family members Income 48000
2018" 4 family members in come 60000

2019: I wish to apply for parents (who are 2 ). My previous year income was 60,000 which was above the threshold for 6 people ( $57,826) am i eligible ? or must my income be above 57,826 for all three previous years ? i am getting comflicting answers

Thanks
That's what you need ...http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5772etoc.asp

Federal Income Table for sponsors of parents and grandparents

The following table applies to residents of all provinces except Quebec. For each of the three consecutive taxation years preceding the date on which the application is submitted to CIC, the sponsor (and co-signer, if applicable) must meet the Minimum Necessary Income, which is based on the Low Income Cut-offs plus 30%.
Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Size of Family Unit Minimum Income
2014 2013 2012
2 persons $38,272 $37,708 $36,637
3 persons $47,051 $46,354 $45,040
4 persons $57,125 $56,280 $54,685
5 persons $64,791 $63,833 $62,023
6 persons $73,072 $71,991 $69,950
7 persons $81,355 $80,153 $77,879
If more than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $8,271 $8,148 $7,929

The Minimum Necessary Income requirement, which you must meet for each of the three years preceding the date of your application, is equal to the Low Income Cut-Offs (LICO) plus 30%.

Note: If you are applying in 2016, you must provide proof of income from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the taxation years of 2014, 2013 and 2012.

Do I have to maintain a minimum income during the processing of the application?

Your Minimum Necessary Income must meet or exceed the Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship above on the date on which the sponsorship application is signed until the day your family members are permanent residents.

Income may be reassessed at any time during processing if new information indicates that you may no longer meet the minimum income requirements or if more than 12 months have passed between the dates on which we receive your application and when processing of the application begins.
